Anyone get an update on this?
I have not had any additional issues after the dealership disconnected, tested and reconnected everything. I have a feeling that my situation was one of the connections was not fully seated.

I’m experiencing almost the exact same issue with my Bronco.

It started about the car is 2 years old. At first, it was very rare—maybe only 2 or 3 times a year, usually during rain or snow. Back then, I never heard any clicking sounds. However, now that the car is over 3 years old, the frequency has increased significantly. During wet weather, it happens 2 to 3 times a month.

When it occurs now, I hear that same relay 'clicking' sound you described. Interestingly, all of my interior/exterior lights flicker off for a split second and then recover right before the warning pops up on the screen.

I’ve checked the 7-pin trailer connector multiple times and it’s always bone dry and clean, so I doubt the issue is at the plug itself. I haven’t monitored the voltage fluctuations yet, but my gut feeling is that there’s a short somewhere in the wiring harness that gets triggered by moisture or something, rather than a faulty module or connector. It feels like a grounding issue or a frayed wire that's exposed to the elements.

So adding this update to mine. I started getting the trailer brake system fault error message again along with system off to save battery. I was getting the clicking from the relay on almost every drive along with the system off to save battery which made me wonder if it was tied to low voltage in the battery. I also notice my auto start stop was disabled which can also be because of low voltage. I put it on a charger to fully charge the battery and have not had either issue and the auto start stop was working again. I have an appointment on April 7th to have them check the battery but the battery not getting fully charged due to short drives may have been my issue all along.
