Good move. That’s what I did and was immediately glad as my windshield was popped within days. I have conservatively been popped by a rock, at least a dozen times. Each one would’ve been a cracked windshield for sure. Instead, not even a hint of a bullseye or crack. I should be on the payroll of ExoShield, because I’m a true believer. Seeing is believing and every time a rock pops the Bronco, my wife (if she’s with me) says, “I’m glad you got that stuff on your windshield.” I reply, “Me too.”

This is a huge issue in the Jeep world as well, which is why they offer a Gorilla Glass option: Gorilla Glass Windshield | Official Mopar® Site

I am hoping @Ford Motor Company considers a similar offering in the future.

I avoid semis, don't tailgate, and leave massive gaps between myself and other cars because I didn't want another chip. Now I have two in 24 hours and am going on my second windshield in 7 weeks.

Well that's your problem right there. You need to start driving like a total asshole and then you won't have bad luck. I'm pretty sure that's how it works

I've got Liberty Mutual insurance (LiMu LiMu...and Doug!) and they do not offer a separate deductible for windshields so I got the $100 deductible knowing a few windshield claims are in my future.

$375, it warranties the windshield for 2 years or 30,000 miles. A little steep, but I don’t stress out every time a rock pops me. I would like to keep my original windshield as long as I can, plus replacing a windshield can be a hassle. Worth it to me and that’s all that matters.

The Gorilla Glass layer is on the inside so it will not do anything to prevent chips.

Got my first chip at 2500 miles, it cracked instantly. Replaced it and knock on wood so far so good. Spring in AK is the worst because of all the gravel spread on the roads as traction aid throughout the winter is all over.

Luckily my windshield replacement is only $50 through my insurance.

Waiting on 2nd replacement. Ford dealer offered Crystal Fusion windshield treatment which included replacements if un repairable cracks happen. Great investment on this vehicle. Ford windshields are back ordered which is an issue.

I don't have my Bronco yet, but want to contribute to ranting for the fun of it, so...

I ate some chips today. They were tasty. I hope they had consumption insurance, because my stomach acids are currently making quick work of them.

My wife has Crystal Fusion. We’ve had a bullseye and cracks. When hers runs out, we are getting the ExoShield.

I got my first chip in the window fairly early in driving it. I took it straight to the Glass Doctor and had it filled.

About a couple weeks later, I got another chip but didn't see it because it was behind that huge box on the upper middle of the windshield. It spread across the entire windshield. I planned to replace it but she's been in the shop ever since. I will replace it when I get it back and also plan to use a coating or something at that time.

I know I’m going to regret saying this but I have no chips or cracks after 5000 miles. I do have the hood defuser installed and I think it works to an extent. There has been a few hard hits that made me pucker
