Does the hood deflector make a difference? Does anyone have an opinion on the Ford black factory accessories one? Or should I order the after market one? In Florida, I’ve had two windshield replacements from I75. Free replacement. So unlikely to pay the $375 for Exoskeleton.
I bought one for hope more than anything, it does help with bugs though. My F-150 has so many chips I cant count, but that windshield has held for over 15 years now. Dang, jinx again. I do believe it is crap glass on the bronco based off of all the stories. I know the angle doesnt help.

RANT: I got a chip on my windshield about two months ago. It immediately spread across the entire windshield. Due to backorder, it took 4 weeks to get replaced. I own a Wrangler, so I patiently understand the vertical windshield problem.

I've been driving with my brand-new windshield for 3 weeks. Yesterday: Another chip, and hours later it had spread across the entire windshield. This morning: ANOTHER CHIP.

I avoid semis, don't tailgate, and leave massive gaps between myself and other cars because I didn't want another chip. Now I have two in 24 hours and am going on my second windshield in 7 weeks.

At some point, this has to be a glass problem and not a vertical windshield problem, no?

TAKE MY POLL. Ha ha. Thanks for listening.
Mine got a chip on the edge and immediately spreed 10” with less than 1000 miles , I got it replaced right away paid $500 deductible, then switched to $0 deductible in case it happens again . It does suck because every time I pass or get passed I’m nervous and I try to keep a good distance. Between that , the rock throwing tires , rain that downpours in the door at drive throughs when raining(soft top) , lack of space , lifetime long wait time . Some stuff could be better all I’m saying

Chip was in the very center behid the rearview mirror. Only noticed it when I was cleaning the windshield. Chip was repaired by Safelite same day I called my insurance. They waive the fee since they would rather pay the $50 repair fee than the cost of a new windshield.

Mine arrived at dealer from factory with cracked windshiel....my dealer replaced it before I got to pick it up...then I asked how did u replace it so quick? He had ordered 1 for another bronco customer who's cracked after 1 week of ownership but could not get to dealer for several weeks fir repair so I got his! I understand these windshields are like billboards on road but I'm really thinking something is not right with these.....the numbers of these cracking seems extremely high for being out on the roads for so little time....if It happens to mine again I'll probably look into the exoshield but I've heard it's only good for so long....still love this badass vehicle

I had a tiny chip, on my way to it get it repaired I got another chip! Luckily they were able to fill both. They also gave me these clear round stickers that you are suppose to put over a chip after you get one. They are suppose to help stop the chip from cracking, we shall see.

I got a crack at around 5000 miles. Took over four weeks to get replacement factory glass.

I drive the I95 corridor between Baltimore and Philadelphia 7 months out of the year. Chipped windshields area just a fact of life up here. I've lost count of the number windshields I've had to replace on my Audi S5, Jeep JK, and F450 over the last 10 years. That's what insurance is for.

I bought the replacement warranty so of course I don't have a chip. I"m about ready to drive 3k highway miles from WA to SC so this record will certainly give during that roadtrip

Nothing yet in 3 weeks and 725 miles. Getting ExoShield and full PPF on Monday.
How much is your full PPF going to cost, if you don't mind me asking? Wondering how the price compares to Michigan. I've received quotes from $5500 to $8000.

I had less than 4k miles and under 3 months and got a chip that spidered and had to replace the windshield. I’m lucky it only took a week but now I’ve got a water leak dripping from both front columns at the bottom of the airbag panel. Now waiting on a replacement gasket seal or something before the leak will be fixed, hopefully.
