Tailgate Reinforcement Install

I've been wanting one of these for a while, but the price.....
Being picky about which style...of course the one that looks like the Braptor is the best looking for me.

Found this one on Amazon for a better price. Pulled the trigger risking a poor quality unit.

Just got it in and seems very good ... Heavy metal and beefy hinges....Powder coat looks good. Overall looks and feels right.

I just installed one of those. Fits good. Takes a little patience to get the tailgate aligned before final torque of fasteners. Wrestling my tailgate with a tailgate table installed was slightly challenging working alone.

How do you feel this addresses the spare tire/tailgate squeaks, moans, and groans? After installing Toyo ATA 3s, including a new spare, I notice much more in the way of squeaks, moans, and groans, and want to install some form of additional support for the spare tire and tailgate.

I have not noticed "squeaks, groans, etc" from the tailgate. I had a Barnes tailgate support before installing the BRaptor knock-off so I have had some support back there for awhile now.

Installing was easy.... Lining up the door....was as expected, whole host of loosening and tightening a bunch of times. Well worth it in the end.

Bare aluminum under oem hinge.

Sprayed a little Alu zinc
