So you take a bat to a windshield, do you get charged or does the bat?
Please tell me you're able to see the difference between a rubber duck and a bat?

It's a crime to take a bat to someone's vehicle. It isn't a crime to rest a rubber ducky on their door handle

That is a bit disturbing of a thought.
Especially if you know what I look like naked. Insult to injury with that being the last thing one sees before succumbing to the darkness 😂

But they are both touching the vehicle and not the person's skin.
So... If you are going to say that technically you are not touching the vehicle, then they become similar.
One does massive damage, one doesn't... But they were both done by a person.

You must have missed the laughing emoji.

Seriously though, are you actually insisting that a bat and a toy are even remotely related in any possible way?

You stated that the duck was touching, not the person.
The bat was touching, not the person.
There are some things that are black and white, the duck nor the bar levitated up on their own.

This all boils down to "I don't want anyone touching my property without permission" and "I will touch whatever I want because it makes me happy".
It is sad that humans have become that much about self satisfaction over respect.

Jesus...some things are black and white. Smashing a car with a bat is a crime. Placing a rubber duck on the door handle of a vehicle you admire is a compliment. One gets you arrested. The other only pisses off grumpy old boomers.

You don't have to worry about being ducked though...As my old italian great-grandmother used to say "C'e chi ha gusto solo in bocca"

I'm years away from being a boomer, solidly Gen X.
I never said they were the same.
Only that both were touching the the vehicle instead of the person... Since you said it was the duck touching and not the person.
In that respect, it is the same.
The person touched the vehicle.
Sorry you can't wrap your mind around that. 🤷
They are both inanimate objects that rely on a person for movement.

Excuse me, saar. But the currently accepted term is “Tylenol Americans.” Please refrain from the use of an outdated and offensive vernacular. 🙏🏼

You've had the answer the whole time, as you reference children's toys.

Say it. Children's toys.

The enabling parents are placing children's toys on adult's vehicles, unsolicited, and the kids think that it's ok for Mommy and Daddy, or Mommy and Mommy, or Daddy and his side chick, or Aunt Furry and thems to drive around doing this nonsense, and then they want to run around and do it too, like some kind of alter universe game of duck and retreat.

Children's toys belong at home, where you can trip on them, fall into the coffee table and lose a pinky nail in the process.

No explanation makes this bullshit behavior acceptable. Period.
