It’s that time of year in FL where I can finally put my soft top on for the first time. Any tips/tricks/lessons learned? I’m thinking it’s at least a 3 person job. That thing ain’t light! LOL!

It can be done with 2 guys but a 3rd couldn't hurt. I wrapped towels around roll bar to try and prevent scratches and had a couple milk crates on each side to stand on...

Getting the rear side windows in might be worse.

I tried wrapping mine with towels too but they got bound up in the soft top. LOL! I’m still trying to figure out why they didn’t send me the Velcro straps and rear panel covers that actually fit.

Totally agree!!! I still have one that isn’t attached to the rear window. It’s just hanging out. I need a damn carpet stretcher. Going to take it to the dealer and see if they can help. At this point it’s almost easier to the the hard top off and on.

Yeah, I tempted to see if dealer can get me another....The drivers side 'almost' fits and I can get it on by myself after cussing and grunting. The passenger side, I need wife to push HARD on the rear quarter piece while I try to find a spot to start folding in the rear flap....two freakin' hours to put windows in. Stupid. Just give me the damn zippers.

UPDATE: I went to the dealer and after a few back and firths from service, to parts, to sales and back to parts the issue has been resolved. The sales department gave me 20,000 reward points on my Ford Pass account and the. Parts was able to order the correct rear panels.

HELP PLEASE! Has anyone ram I to any issue swapping out their hard top for their soft top??? We got it on and bolted down and thought we were good but the catch lever is not even close to the catch pin in the roof rail, so it doesn’t snap in. And the front latches are way off too! It’s almost like the whole top needs to shift towards the front but I don’t see where there’s any room for that! This would also explain why the side windows would not go in. TIA for your help!

Wait. All summer long you run hardtop and when winter arrives you go open air?

Right you are in the state with no income tax and more peeps over 80 from NY and PA than anywhere..
.
Must be too hot in the summer to catch some rays, lol

Here in the Great Lakes snow belt we run softtops 365

It’s at the dealership right now. But I have a feeling they are going three and charge me. Even though the hard part is done.

UPDATE: the saga continues. The dealer is telling me that it is a 27 step process to realign the top and it’s not under the warranty. Anyone want to buy a soft top? LOL! Guess I’ll always just run the hard top.

Did you ever figure this out? I just tried installing mine and ran into the same issue, front latch was almost 1” short from being able to close

Sorry for the late response. I ended up taking it to the guys that did my lift and everything and one of the guys just pulled on it (towards the front) as it was half open and it caught. Now I can do it in my own. The first time you do it, you may need to unlatch the back at the swing gate and also don’t have the windows in.
