I do get a creak from my clutch pedal, and when the transmission is cold I get the "box of rocks" grind and rattle that so many others have. I would not describe any of it as a "screech" though.
Given there are already some overlapping TSBs for cold-start rattling noise from the 7MT, it may be worth taking in, but they don't really sound like what you're describing. I believe the current one is 24-2042 "MT88 Manual Transmission - Rotational Scraping Noise When Cold And In Neutral, 1st And/Or 2nd Gear With Clutch Pedal Released"
It's always hard to diagnose from a description of a sound, so a recording might help. I usually associate screeches with belts slipping. If you've got an early Bronco, it may be time to do belts and tensioners.

Anybody here have a problem with, for lack of better words, an intermittent (once every 20-30 seconds) screeching sound with a cold start of their vehicle? I have a manual 2.3l and this happens to me. Is there a TSB or other documentation that I can take to the dealer.

Also, I noticed in the garage the other day that there is a very loud clicking sound from the rear after I rev the engine and then let off the throttle. I noticed this after taking the top off (finally!). IIRC Bronco's come with an active exhaust of some kind. Is it something to do with that?

I always get push back from dealers on things like this (weird sounds) and prefer to have documentation of a known issue if possible.
I hear this screech once every month maybe. Too random to diagnose for me so far.

There is a spring loaded valve in the muffler on these. Someone on here cut it out for some reason.

I'm getting the clutch pedal groan as well, and - being a slacker - I still yet have to get the Steeda spring in in my 2024. I think that "box of rocks" sound (which I heard on cold mornings last winter) was tied to the brass synchronizer gears, and perhaps the earlier recall did not address the issue fully? My dealer told me he never heard of the problem (probably had never seen a manual example on a cold morning, because I have the only manual around). I concluded that it's not a problem, and more of a characteristic of the transmission - not a big deal. Hope I'm right...
