I had a 2016 Toyota 4Runner Pro with an 3 inch lift w/UCA and 33 Nitto RGs. It drove smooth as glass on road even with hard off roading and desert pounding.
If the Bronco drives similar I'll be stoked.

How fast are you guys driving that you get wobble in your jeeps.

I only owned YJs and TJs and those are primitive compared to the newer stuff and I never got any wobble.

I am confused about this death wobble I hear so much about. I too have a Jeep but its a few generations older (1981 CJ5) then what I think most are relating to on this forum. Although my Jeep has been restored, I still have a hard time keeping her straight and sure at higher speeds. But I think that is more to the bigger tires and lift as it wasn't that bad when I first had it with OEM setup. But I can't call a death wobble. Whatever it is, it sure sounds worse. Did the CJs do this too and am curious how one would describe it.

Because of the design, as parts wear it has a cascading effect and causes wear in the next component down the line.

Enough wear in enough components and dangerous oscillation can be induced in the steering system.

Enter: The Death Wobble (R)

(also, lifting the Jeep without correcting the geometry can increase the likelihood it will happen.)

I had it show up in my JK with 35s and it's not cool.

I also had it happen in a Land Rover Discovery that I bought. The CVs are weak af on the older ones and it was a constant wrencher to keep it running. It's why I laugh when people are cross shopping the new "Defender". Getting any British car with a decent electrical system either takes $400k and BMW or a miracle, lol

Im a vetran of the death wobble once ,i did an alignment and was off test drove it going up on ramp hit pothole and it struck i thought the fender bolts were going to pull thru pretty violent! I think any type suspension can get it if things are out of spec.
Out of the many rides i have had that was the only time i experienced it, i tracked it down to a worn steering gear and replaced it with one from a full size hummer.

If the Bronco is like my Explorer, Fiesta, Fusion, Taurus and F250, it'll be the same as every other vehicle. There will be issues. If it's like my two most recent Ford vehicles, it'll have terrible suspension/steering feedback and the bushings will creak over every minor imperfection in the road surface. I've never had issues with any other vehicle that I've had with my last two Fords. I think they must use recycled skate board wheels for steering/suspension linkage and bushings.

I've owned a couple Jeeps with solid front axles, lifted, larger tires, heated and bent tie rod (for higher clearance) and have never experienced death wobble with a Jeep vehicle.

Happy New Year!!
What do you guys think the steering will be like on our Broncos? I believe with IFS, it should be fine. Do you guys think we will get a “wobble” like the Jeeps do? I like it nice and tight, and Hopefully the Bronco comes tight. Thoughts?
If you get a wobble, head to the dealer or tire shop and have your wheel balance and alignment checked. :)

But it won't be a death wobble. That's an exclusive bonus feature of the solid front axle.

My son's Cherokee had death wobble. It's appropriately named and it is the suck. The Bronco should be good with the rack and pinion steering, I just hope it's durable.

Leaf springs up front are the difference.
