I need a bumper about 1/2" taller. I was thinking about putting a spacer behind mine but they're only held on with those cheesy push clips and it's not long enough for both. Maybe base bumpers are longer?

That sounds about right, I went the other way. I went from an Outer Banks spare to a Badlands spare and calculated I needed the cut 7/16 off of those (Outer Banks) bumpers for the Badlands tire to fit.

You'll want shorter bumpers if keeping the same wheels, or trim yours down. I moved my wheel out 37mm but the tire back in 15mm. The math says my bumpers should be 22mm short but it's only half that. Probably more sidewall bulge is the difference.

Anyone got link to this?

Don't remember who, but someone here made extensions using round wooden pegs that he cut at the right length with rubber end caps ( like at the end of a cane ) that you can get at the hardware store, worked perfectly. The peg goes inside the original hollow bump stop

I put a straight edge across the back of both (Outer Banks, Badlands) wheel/ tire combinations and measured to the mounting face and subtracted the difference.
That's how I came up with the 7/16".
I couldn't even get the bottom lug nut to start without modifying the rubber bumpers.

I used some hood bumper stops I had for my 3rd brake light. Maybe that would work for you?...

I believe it was @SnowBronco that documented his spare tire bumper solution. He likely created a separate thread, but I remembered the "Gnarly Tailgate Rattle" thread and figured it was also buried in there.
Hey, yeah I had pretty decent success with my solution. Didn't seem to work for everyone tho. I did it again only new Bronco, which started developing the pinging sound again.... So this time I treated the back of the rubber stoppers, (the part that sits against the tailgate) with a trim conditioner... I thinki it was called gummi fledge of some shit... And that seems to have helped out quite a bit for me.
Here's the original video where I go over what I did for the bump stop modification to work with the zero offset wheels.

Amazon or McMaster-Carr have lots of bumpers. You can probably find what you are looking for. I recently purchased 2 large rubber bumpers to stand a small boat trailer on end in the garage to save space.
