I had the DV8 delete kit on my last Bronco. The look and quality of the kit was excellent. Instructions were clear. The problem I ran into was overpressure inside the cabin. The spare delete effectively seals off the louvers with the rubber flaps in the tailgate that helps air to escape the cabin. I was getting a whistling noise from the door seals. I spent a lot of time and effort to make the windows seal better with modest improvements. The whistling was unbearable in windy and cold conditions. I'm a skier and I travel to UP Michigan, Utah, and Wyoming in winter. I had to drill the rivets off the aluminum DV8 plate and drill breather holes to allow more air to escape. That solved the issue. I ended up trading her in for a newer one. I'm considering the Turn Off Road delete kit because it has breather holes stamped into it. I tow an InTech square drop trailer and I have mountain bikes on a hitch rack. I dislike using hitch extenders. I also like the 80lb reduction in weight as my tongue weight is pushing max.
Try recirculating on the air, I only have whistling with high fan on outside air, of course i modified mine as it was first generation. people have said they fixed the camera vie although it doesn't look like it. I modified mine to make the camera angle correct.

I fully agree with this. I cannot remember which SEMA show it was but I saved a picture of a Bronco that had a full replacement tailgate or tailgate cover. It was on the Quick Time Performance Bronco. This is what I want.

Has anyone installed the previously mentioned Turn Offroad spare tire delete? At $150 it seems very reasonably priced. Here's a link to it:

Yes, I have the Turn delete on my Raptor and really like it. Only thing I don't like is how they have the license plate light, so I modified mine some. Made the three brake dot lights in a triangle, used the bolt screws with lights to light up plate and mounted my wolfbox camera where the center brake dot light was.

I also have the DV8 on my 2 door, would have used it on the raptor too but it uses the factory brake light and wouldn't work on a raptor.

@MatteOBX which do you like better? I actually have it narrowed down to these two as my choices. Thanks for you input!

As far as fit, finish and durability they are about the same. I like both but for me it would come down to looks and I personally don't like the way the license plate light is integrated on the Turn but I was able to find a way to change it to work to my liking and the only option that would work with a Raptor. The DV8 uses the factory brake like and looks very clean.

I don’t plan to ever mount the license plate on the tailgate, so I think I’ll go with Turn Offroad and figure out a way to delete the license plate light from their kit altogether. I just need the camera and third brake lights to work properly.
