I come from the perspective of owning a gt500 and a challenger hellcat. To hear you guys talking how loud or cool a 3 liter tiny v6 exhaust sounds is funny. It’s fine. But it’s not anything super.

It’s like saying my minivan sounds louder than your minivan :).

3.0 baha mode . Ying ying rat tat tat
Gt500. Varooommm burble burble burble

The broncos not meant to be a muscle car. Its sound is fine for what it is. Could be better. Could have a 5.0 and try to compete with the 392 jeep. But ford chooses not to compete
You’re comparing completely different car models, engines, and use case. And for what? lol

Fixed that for ya... 😆

But ford chooses not to compete in drag racing and rather to crush anything off the factory floor in high speed wheeling, crawling and highway manners.

I saw that one too but didn't reply. I wasn't sure if it was sarcasm. :)

When I consider a 420 hp twin turbo V6 3.0 gets only 1 mpg or so worse than my 4Runner did, I guess it's pretty good. Everything is relative ;).

We did this for 12 days. Slept inside. Lots of luxury like Starlink, Solar, Fridge, Induction Cooking, 15 gal h2o (filtration), shower... Went 10 days without resupply.

Seems hard to beat. Other than the initial cost. But sooo comfy. :)

Stock exhaust still sounds like a tiny v6

There’s no way the “off road” exhaust can be so loud it’s illegal

My hellcat shakes my garage it’s so loud. Easily double the volume of baha bronco. Yet it’s legal everywhere

The Bronco exhaust is fine as is. I wouldn’t call any of the modes loud. All modes sound very v6 imo . Your not going to impress anyone with that exhaust note besides Hondas
Yep…I had a Redeye Challenger, it would shake the rafters. Bronco definitely does not!!

So why did you buy one if it could be better? Why not buy the 392 jeep? Or ls swap an old cj? Why the compromise if it is just meh?

Only at 5k miles but the only rattles I have are from aftermarket parts. Brace is solid after a bumpy baja trip

Sounds like a great build. Have a build page/thread?

But 19, really. I always get close to 13, but thats city. On the highway it's typically 75-80 mph.

We have hit 20-21mpg several times. Generally towing we are in the 11-14mpg range. We rarely drive over 70mph. Optimal is 45-60mph. Turbo motors are most efficient when holding speed. Get to speed quickly and keep speed consistent.

Our build is mostly making the Raptor "less capable" (adding weight). I guess performance enhancements could be:

ADV Fiberglass (BEST thing you can do to a Raptor)
Hyperco Springs (no downside)
Carli Winch Bumper (rather impressed with it)
ADD rear bumper (beautiful design)
37x11.5R17 Recon Grappler (great weight, mpg and hook up well)
Method Bead Grip Wheels (+25 offset / under 86" width to fit on trails)
Whipple IC (not convinced it's helpful - slow to cool after heat soak)
74W Rack (clunky steering feel not impressed)
MTR Exhaust (great for clearance and weight but no "modes").
NextVenture UHMW Skids + Diff Armor
Foutz skids + steering brace
RCI sliders (need UHMW)
Spare delete : Custom 6 gallon Roto Pax Mounts + Shovel mount
Redarc 200W Solar Panel (roof mount)
Starlink Mini w/ wireless remote - DC powered
150AH Lithium w/ DC Charger
2000w inverter
Fridge
Interior sleeping platform + converts to haul 2 EMTB bikes inside w/ charging station

There's more stuff. It didn't seem like much but guess the list gets long thinking about it. HAHA

It is an incredible rig that: hauls 2 bikes inside (interior mounts), sleep inside, full camping setup, gets ~20mpg (good range), tows our trailers (with decent mpg), comfy long distance cruiser (crossed the country many times already), reliable (so far) and capable enough to do the trails we love (like Rubicon, Dusy, Barrett, Slick Rock and whatever else).

No Jeep can do what the Raptor does in all the categories.

Wow, very impressive build. You sleep 2 in the Raptor and haul your 2 E-bikes in it? That deserves some pictures. Must be custom. Your obviously using it to it's fullest. Good on ya!
