I have on order a 2 door big bend Bronco and will be using it for work as well as off road pleasure.
I carry a lot of computer equipment daily that fits in a few tool bags, along with some other necessities. I am looking for some sort of locking storage unit for the back behind the second row seats similar to what you see on a pickup truck bed. If I take the top and/or doors off when using it for work I would like to secure the work equipment in the back. I know that the 2 door does not have as much physical space as a 4-door, but wondering if anyone has purchased something similar for their Bronco?

I was at the Bronco Beach Bash this weekend and we met Brian and his wife from E-Z4x4. He is producing what in my opinion is the best truck storage system I’ve seen. I was able to get show price. I’m not sure if they have a 2 door model, but check there website eztrunk.net

I went with Diabolical. I had anothe rsolution before, but it's on a shelf in the garage and the Diabolical system is in the Bronco. I have the four door, but the two door system is here:

https://shop.diabolicalinc.com/products/bronco-locker-security-enclosure-2-door

He also offers a different system for 2 door for those who want to remove the rear seats and use that area for cargo, as well.

Same here, but I found a YouTube video of the Bronco version, it looks awesome. I need something collapsible so there is still room in the cargo area for our Great Dane when we don't need secure storage.

Contacted EZ4X4 and was told $799 for pre-order, when released in January it will be $999.

I bought the one from Diabolical for my 2-door, up at Bronco Super Cel in Carson City. I was very impressed with the design and build quality on their display rig. I haven't installed mine yet but I'll get some pix and video when I do. I have the same situation, like to run topless but need to secure some expensive equipment. The Diabolical setup looked like the best solution when I did some research on it.

I'm impressed with the EZ4x4 option, love the diabolical offering in theory but doesn't allow for on the fly adjustment (have mtn bike I occasionally throw in the back). I was going to build a false floor to hide my sub but man, this just makes it so easy. Now I have to figure out where to stash the sub as the rear compartment needs to remain factory to make this work.

I have many miles on the diabolical at this point (40k?). the impression that it can’t be reconfigured on the fly is incorrect - it is quite versatile. the front wall folds down after removing a few simple push-pins. Same for the entire top - which is similarly Removable after pulling a few push pins. The top also folds. I did successfully modify the pins a bit on mine to resolve some squeaking when going over bumps. Diabolical may have separately resolved this since I purchased mine though, which was over a year ago. final conclusion is that I couldn’t be happier.

That sure looks slick! Be a lot smaller for a 2 door though.

Dumb question. When you take the top off and have any brand security box in the back, what stops someone from reaching in and hitting the door unlock and opening the gate to access anything hidden there?

Ps - the diabolical system does not cover up the floor or side panels of the stock rear compartment, so I imagine you’d be good to go with your subwoofer.

I don't think the door-unlock button works when the key fob isn't present. Also, in my case, when the top is off I usually have my Halo doors on, which don't have unlock buttons :)

That's one of the things that sold me on the Diabolical setup. Versatile and easy to reconfigure. I may hit you up for some intel in the future if mine ever starts squeaking at the pins.

I actually picked up a flyer while at the show. I’ll check the flyer and make sure you have the right website.

Yes he was at the Bronco Bash in OC this past weekend. Preorder at the show was $700. Seing it work in person impressed me.
