Tuffy secure cargo enclosure.

Got a 4 door soft top and really worried about it getting broke into. Debating on going with the tuffy secure enclosure but haven’t found much online as far as reviews go. Wondering how it’s worked for others. Definitely saw that they way it was engineered the kickstand for the soft top gets in the way so I would buy shocks for the top along with it!

I would suggest spending the extra coin for the Diabolical Slipstream if you ever think you would want to take down the front bulkhead or take off the top as it is just a matter of pulling a few pin vice unbolting the whole thing. You also don't lose the space on the sides, unless you want Mollie panels.

I have abused mine for over 2 years. Bought it to protect subwoofer box and some gear. It is practical, sturdy and useful as long as you don't mind loosing cargo space provided by folding the seats down. I did not get the Diabolical due to cost, but to me is the better option if you shop a lot at Lowes or Home depot and want to haul wood. If you are planning to camp out and build a sleeping platform, don't get it. It is not that easy to take apart.

I modified mine and installed a cargo net on the bottom of the lid to carry light stuff, added kilmat soundproofing to most panels to minimize rattling (it worked) and used additional rubberized trimming for the metal edges to minimize my OCD and sharp edges.

If you are planning to add a tailgate table double check for fitment, I think that the only one that works is the FORD option without modifying the lid. On the front of the enclosure you can also fit smaller Molle bags behind the seats. Not a lot but, a tow strap fits perfectly between the setbacks and 2 molle bags.

How does it open up with the soft top? Does it hit or interfere or can it open up all the way with the soft top also on its kickstand ?

I second the Diabolical. While the Molle panel is nice on the Tuffy, if someone flips the seat down they can see in to decide if it’s worth the effort to try to pry it open.

I have the Diabolical in my 2 door. Different design than the 4 door. The only adjustments I made were using a spherical knob for the rear lid attachments as on the two door there is a slight gap where someone could spin the knob off if they had strong fingers. The other was replacing the rubber at the back of the lid with a u-shaped rubber that holds better as it makes contact against the window.

I have a tuffy enclosure. I used it with my soft top and Turn off road top. Works great, provides the protection I was looking for. I have the one that lifts up. No problem with my tailgate table, which is not the Ford table.
