Trying to delete my seatbelts.

Has anyone done this? I can't find any videos anywhere.
Looks for videos on removing the rear seats, you will find info on removing the rear seat belts buried within.

I've done the rear ones for a "Bronco Bunk" I built, and reinstalled the seat belts. It is pretty easy once you remove the seats, just a couple bolts. I believe there are some Bronco forum threads and YouTube videos. Suggest you search for "seat delete".

I turned off the seat belt alert sound (along with all the other obnoxious alerts) using Forscan. That's fairly easy to do using the guide posted here on 6g. The vehicle is more enjoyable for me now without all those noises. Not sure otherwise what you mean about seatbelt delete.
Link to that forscan guide ?

What’s mod #2…brake delete?
The Bronco is shaped like a brick. Who needs brakes when you have wind resistance?

I know you're joking, but this is likely why Ford had to issue the seat belt recall/fix.

Sad, isn't it?
Yup, that's exactly what I was referencing and I've never noticed the seat belt being difficult and, even if I did, it wouldn't stop me from putting it on. ;)

I want to remove my front seat belts because they’re a bit hard to reach so I don’t bother putting them on ;)
There is a recall for that and truly only drivers without left arms cannot reach three inches behind their shoulder to grab the belt so Ithe recall has to be for the vertically challenged who have their seats in the most forward position?

And no sympathy for anyone with a death wish when they roll over their Bronco on top of them while ejected.

One thing about aging I’ve actually learned to enjoy. Watching the popular culture shift back and forth on various topics. At least in my general socioeconomic group. I remember when the manufacturers and insurance industry were lobbying the politicians. When Regan’s “deregulation” policies forced the NHTSA to pull back on seatbelt requirements. The Supreme Court battle that ensued. The rage my peers were exercising over the assault on their rights of self determination. The protests. So much rage against the Man lol. The amount of time and energy folks would put into deceiving and avoiding enforcement efforts. Hell, the random roadblocks set up to conduct “enforcement and education” actions… and now? Roughly 3-4 decades later? A complete reversal in attitude. Seatbelt Delete?! You must be insane! lol.

Several articles on the topic are available. Here’s a random one I picked to help illustrate the point. The point being how things do change. And often somehow change right back lol.

2 Door Badlands manual with Leaking Rear Transmission Seal @less than 1600 miles HERE.. Anyway just venting.... I carefully took apart the plastic cover of the REAR seat belt receptacle and carefully removed the gizmo and wire intact. I was careful to route the wire and trouble making gizmo under and behind driver side interior panel where it is protected. Quiet as a mouse - no trouble codes. I knew of the diode option. It is probably the better option. As taking the plastic case apart without hurting it is not for everyone. I know I can put mine back together if need be. Have had the rear seats out since 2 days after bringing it home. Nothing better to do on a perfectly good Saturday in June. I was not going diode shopping. I purchased from FORD the FOUR DOOR CARGO MAT for my 2 door bronco. Fits good as long as rear seats are in the storage closet. It's just longer than 2 door cargo mat. Made a template of rear area . And cut out a universal truck bed mat that covers area under rear seat and forward to passenger floor foot well. Wanted something tough to protect factory badlands rubberized floor cover. Cut out thick rubber/ carpet plugs to fill in around seat mounting studs where former rear seat frame made contact with painted floor as well. Bought from ACE hardware plastic plugs for the floor seat bolt holes. I topped it off with a Black Carhartt FIRM DUCK SHERPA -LINED THROW MODEL # pb0284 Dimensions 59.5 x 45.5>> think dog blanket. It is a little wide and a little long. Consult your tape measure. Very happy with it. Amazon about $110. I liked it so much I bought 2 more. One in the Bronco, one in the wash, and one still in the wrapper. I rolled up the shoulder harness in such a way the seat belt buckle hides behind the plastic panel. All is secured to roll cage neatly with zipties. No rattles nothing loose and still at the ready if I really need to bolt the seats back in. Home made mat and bolt area filler plugs pl come out - seats bolt back in. Leaving gizmo and wire tucked away behind panel. Cheers gary
