Trying to delete my seatbelts.

Has anyone done this? I can't find any videos anywhere.

Ok, I'll bite...why would one want to delete the seat belts?

Rear belts removed for a platform I presume? I'm sure you know they will trigger a fault if just unplugged. When I took a seat out I just tucked the belt under the rubber floor.

If there are no videos out there explaining how to remove seat belts, there probably a reason for it...

I turned off the seat belt alert sound (along with all the other obnoxious alerts) using Forscan. That's fairly easy to do using the guide posted here on 6g. The vehicle is more enjoyable for me now without all those noises. Not sure otherwise what you mean about seatbelt delete.

I removed my fronts to have the belt color changed. Easy to do, haven’t done the rears yet due to the week turn around time and my kids who only want to ride in my vehicle. Even with forscan if you unplug the harness from the belt assembly, with the doors off it will constantly say transmission not in park and ding over and over again. Clearing it will make it stop until you stop again at a light. I can understand the rear being removed on a two door… I assume that’s what you want to do?

As Mike suggests, for the rears remove the latch from the seat and tuck it under the floor. Simple and effective.

For the belts themselves, you can remove the reels and insert a resistor into the connector. I used a pair of these...uxcell 2.4 Ohm Resistor.

I want to remove my front seat belts because they’re a bit hard to reach so I don’t bother putting them on ;)
I know you're joking, but this is likely why Ford had to issue the seat belt recall/fix.

Sad, isn't it?
