I have a 23 BD and I am running with the front top and doors off (I have tube doors on). I got home, stopped the bronco, got out, then locked the doors, but noticed that the screen remained on. I came back out an hour later and it was still on and the radio worked when I switched to it. I'm worried that it will drain my battery. I'm about to pull the battery to kill it. Any ideas?

Try pressing the power button and the seek forward button at the same time until it resets, maybe that will help

Did you try pressing the start button to put it in accessory mode than again to shut it off.
I’d also just start the engine and shut it off again. Maybe it just needs a little manual input to remind it what to do.

Mine did the same thing this summer. I leave the doors off for sometimes up to a month and it happened 1 time when I got home. Turned out to be a very easy fix. I had a bent pin on 1 of the wire connectors (believe mine was on driver side passenger door). I used a small flat head screw driver to straighten it out and everything worked fine after that. Took less than 30 seconds. In the mean time you can pull the SYNC module fuse (pretty sure it is Fuse 46 and located in the box under the hood but not positive on the number). Hope this helps.

Even if you double pump the start button, it should shut down in 20 min or so.....

The door wiring harness pin getting bent is common. Here's a good post about it.

https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/thre...lained-and-an-inexpensive-diy-solution.49381/

That said, given you aren't getting errors, just the radio: the timeout should still work, as will just pushing the power button.

The tailgate lock supposedly works if you have a package that has a button back there, but the keyfob lock will not.

If that's not working, do the general reset for wonkiness - one of the ECMs could just be stuck thinking too hard and needs a reboot:

General Reset for Wierdness
Unplug the negative battery terminal for about 5 minutes
Reconnect the negative terminal
This reboots all the modules and computers in the Bronco
Use a trickle charger rated for AGM batteries:
Connect (+) to the (+) battery terminal
Connect (-) to either chassis ground or the side tab on the (-) battery terminal
DO NOT connect directly to the (-) battery post
The BMS system must see the charger and going directly to the (-) battery post will bypass it.
Let the battery trickle charge over night. Low battery voltage, or just the BMS thinking there is low battery voltage, can cause a lot of odd things to occur and this corrects for that possibility.

thx for the suggestions. I tried start button to go into accessory mode. I also drove around the bock and then made sure I turned it off. no luck. it was on for over an hour. I finally pulled the negative terminal of the battery and that seems to have cleared the condition for now.
