Happens all the time.

It just means that the battery charge is low, and when it is low, the vehicle will start turning off electronics to save electricity. Nothing to be immediately concerned about, but it could indicate that it may be time to replace the battery. It also frequently happens if you don't drive your Bronco that often or if there is an aftermarket accessory pulling power when it shouldn't be. But either way, you can take your Bronco to the dealership to get your battery and/or charging system tested if you are concerned (some auto parts stores also offer free testing).

The message just happened today on my wife's Escape. The battery is just old and needs to be replaced, which I already knew. That combined with recent cold weather and it's really struggling now. Honestly, I probably should have replaced it 6 months ago, but ya know... laziness.

Yeah figured I'd end up taking it somewhere to check the battery, just thought it was a bit soon for 2021 vehicle. Thanks for the reply. 🙂

4-7 years is typical. Although if you are up north like I am... it's typically closer to 3-5 years. Cold weather isn't nice to batteries.

My wife's Escape is a late 2020, and her battery should have been replaced this past summer. Right around the 3 - 4 year mark.

From MI, bought her this June from Arkansas. Thanks for the info!

@RagnarKon is 100% accurate.

Not completely abnormal to happen, especially if your Bronco sits a lot between trips, or takes a lot of short drives.

Happens to my Wife's Bronco Sport about every 3 months - most of her driving is just down to the bus stop and back for the kid. The vehicle doesn't get enough drive time to build up enough charge in the battery and so it slowly drops over time.

If you see it out of the blue - best thing is to put an AGM-rated trickle charger on your battery and let it set overnight (note: there is a right and a wrong way to hook up a trickle charger). If the battery is otherwise fine, this tops it off and you are good to go.

If the battery is just aged, you can expect to see the Deep Sleep message pop up again soon - that probably means it's time to get the battery tested and/or replaced. It could also be an errant accessory drawing power or a bad alternator or some other devilry. But usually it's a bad battery.

So once in a great while - no big deal. Starts happening all the time - go get it checked, probably time for a new battery.

Thanks for the info! It is mainly on short trips to work and back, approx 12 miles round trip. 🙂

I wish the app showed current battery voltage. Seems like an easy thing to do?

That's not how this works. That's not how any of this works. ;-)

It's hot weather that murders batteries. I'm shocked and amazed that we have 3 years on the F-150 battery and it's still good.

Summer in Phoenix is simply brutal on batteries.

True, hot weather is a problem too. I've seen AGM batteries turn into spicy puffy pillows in extreme heat.

Basically... temperature extremes are bad. (y) Batteries like California weather.

Batteries Don't like California weather either. At least not outside of either San Fran or San Diego. My batteries don't last three years here due to the heat.

I have mine on a charger and get this message because I don't drive it. The battery shows completely charged

Your intuition is right, the Bronco is a battery eater. Mine was replaced under warranty in year 2. If I don't drive it for 7-10 days I get the low battery notices in my app.

Doesn’t the battery voltage appear as an option on our instrument panel cluster?

I leave my car parked away from home for extended times, so would love to see the voltage on the app
