Howdy,

I’ve notice my stock Bilstiens in the front dive quite a bit when braking not very hard on the pavement and off-road. It’s not terrible, but noticeable. In one instance while on the trail going down a steep rocky hill I had to apply my brakes and ended up hitting my bash plate on rocks because the suspension dived.

Overall the bilstiens perform great and are fairly comfortable on the trail and road besides the brake dive.

Any suggestions? Normal for stock 2 door Sasquatch? Throw them away and upgrade?

Normal, these suspensions are very soft. I'm guessing it's more noticeable on a 2 door. If you upgrade it will help with the dive but will probably sacrifice a bit of ride comfort depending on what you go with.

Install a set of SVC or RPG perch collars, you'll stiffen the springs and get 2"+ of lift! This will also decrease ride comfort, but I like mine a little more stiff, so it's been great for me.

The dive is mostly due to the springs, not the shocks. Soft cushy ride will have dive. Add a winch and heavy bumper and you will have more dive. Add stiffer springs and you won't have dive but your ride won't be as soft and cushy.

Thanks guys. Yeah just requires money. Sacrifice one thing gain another. The stock shocks best of both worlds. Maybe the Ford Performance Bilstiens a tad better.

I especially love when the front raises up when you stomp on it.

Normal. Non Sas Hitachis = dive. Bilstein 5100's set at 1.5" = less dive, but still there.
