SAS Strut bolt question

No one actually answered the question from the original post and I’m looking at a similar situation. The pressed bolts are slightly wider towards the head to accommodate the holes in the shocks off the shelf bolts do not have this. This leaves play between the shock mounting holes and the bolts themselves if non-OE are used.

I sort of did in a round about way. Basically you can use regular bolts and it will be fine. Just try to get bolts that are a snug in the strut as they can be.

Must use flanged Grade 8 or above bolt would be fine with snug fit plus a flanged nut. I would not use the bolts they threw in at all.
