Hello I have a 23’ 4dr and noticed rust spots all over the vehicle. Hood, doors, behind fender flares, tailgate, above rear tail lights etc.

Anyone else have an issue like this? I ran it through a car wash and they’re still very prominent.

That's just industrial fallout from the roads. Very common in places that get snow in the winter where there are snow plows or other means of snow removal. Just apply some Iron X in the spring with a 2 bucket wash and they will go away.

After you Iron X it, clay bar and wax it after. You're welcome.
This. But don’t use a traditional clay BAR, use a clay TOWEL. Newer tech and less chance of needing to polish afterwards.

Does it work as well? Serious question, since I've never used one. I've done clay bar plenty of times, but never tried the towel...at least, not yet.

Yes, they work very well. Took me a long time to make the switch as I’ve used the traditional clay bars for a long time. finally was convinced to try them and quickly saw how well they worked without marring.

This, or equivalent product, should do the trick to help remove them:

I use Meguiars mild detailing clay bars, and Meguiars "Final Inspection" as my spray-on lubricant.

I didn't know the towels existed until this post, I'll give one a shot. I'm a clay bar devotee, so it should be interesting.

Check out this link, I brought my bronco in for the paint flaking off the top off my mod bumper and they called it abrasion damage and wouldn't cover it based on this paint issue identifier. But this looks like figure #21 which has limited warranty coverage so worth showing dealer. and watch your door jam bottoms and tailgate and hood, I've had mine repainted twice under warranty from the paint rubbing off.

As @604Bronco said above, that is more than likely iron and fallout either from a transport and it was never dealt with or just from normal driving. As mentioned, just find a decent Fallout and Iron Remover. Give your car a quick rinse first (in nicer weather), spray it with the fallout remover and let it sit for 10 or 20 minutes (follow directions on the bottle) and that stuff will all turn purple and look like it is melting away. Stuff smells like sulphurous eggs btw. Then use either one of these clay bar type products people mentioned and or just give it a nice washing (depends on how well the remover worked and/or how stubborn some of the spots were). I would be rather surprised if it was actually rust. Not that aluminum can't rust, but it would be rather unlikely for you to have that happening all over your vehicle, more likely the latter.
