Rust proofing (based on body panel / part material)

As I have read elsewhere the material in the body panels is as follows:

Aluminum panels:

• Hood
• Front Fenders
• Rear Fenders
• Doors
• Tailgate

Steel panels:

• Frame
• Floor
• Sport Tubes/Cage (ultra high-strength steel / Boron steel)

So am I correct to say there is no need to do the aluminum panels, and essentially just spray the frame? Just intend on getting basic spray done.

Just got possession of my 2 door BB, and intend on keeping it for the long haul.

Rear fender is steel. The only place you can affix a magnet.

I had my 2-dr BL sprayed with Krown, I let them do their thing rather than tell them “do this but not that…” and have something not get sprayed. I’ve had my Silverado sprayed every year since 2019 when I bought it new and it still looks great. Good luck!!

Aluminum doesn't rust but it can oxidize. (yes rust is a form of oxidation) Ford in the past has had issues with their hoods and tailgates oxidizing after only a few years. I know because I had issues with it on my old 13 Expo and my 15 Expy. It is NOT covered by the warranty unless there is a hole. It was a very common, but not universal, issue in the past. It seems to have been corrected by Ford however. That said, it depends on what this rust slowdown process is. There is no such thing as rust proofing. Just means to slow it down. Some work better than others.
