I am considering getting a Bronco and I just found out the body is not aluminum. I am wondering if anyone has noticed any body rust yet? I live in the rust belt and have dealt with rust for a long time. I currently have a 2017 F250 that is all aluminum and has zero body corrosion issues. The fact that the Bronco is not all aluminum is almost a deal breaker at this point to not get one.

The Bronco has aluminum hood, fenders and doors. This design has been used by Land Rover your many years. If you live in the rust belt area I would recommend getting the truck undercoated with something similar to NHOU Boss Wax undercoating and then take care of the truck with regular cleaning and washing.

Rust belt. No issues so far other than the common surface rust stuff on components like the drive shaft.

The hood, fenders, doors, etc—pretty much everything exposed on the exterior—is aluminum. The frame is steel (just like the F-250), the bumpers are steel, and some of the body components are steel. But most of the steel body is either on the interior of the vehicle or hidden behind the aluminum.

The Bronco is basically a steer body with aluminum exterior shell bolted on so they can be easily replaced if damaged. (Oversimplification, but good way to think of it.)

2021 , 34k miles.

Only a tiny spot on the rocker where the paint got a bad chip from a mach 2 rock leaving the tire.

Need to add some length to the mud flaps and get the rockers covered with a HD PPF.
... and some Metal-Tech rock slider/steps. LOL!!

Spend a few minutes with a magnet. Rear fenders are steel, all other panels are aluminum. A magnet is attracted to some areas under the front fenders, but the fenders are aluminum.

Anti-rust warrior here in the Mid-Atlantic where Maryland and Virginia's State Highway administrations both spray liquid brine to de-ice the roads. Super corrosive stuff. I knew that going in and coated the undercarriage of my 2022 Badlands with the very same stuff that Land Rover guys use: Waxoyl from Switzerland. I bought the application kit from Rovers North up in Vermont and applied it in my driveway the same summer I took delivery on my Bronco. Two stage application but avoid spraying it anywhere near the brakes or on the exhaust system. So far... no rust underneath. Some background info on the stuff is written up here: https://www.robisonservice.com/articles/RonR_waxoyl.php
