Am I the only one who does not like the look of mud flaps?

I’m PPF mine on Tuesday.
Not sure anyone likes the look of them, but they do certainly serve a purpose and are actually required by law where I live on any vehicle that has more than 50% of it’s tire exposed.

I added myself to the waitlist. Wifey won’t let me buy upgrades for the Bronco before it’s delivered, but she made an exception for this since we want to protect our investment as soon as we get it. And my build is exactly the same as @litbrite down to the color. I’m living vicariously through them at the moment. 😜

Nobody likes the look. Many reports that ppf doesn't work in this situation. As much as I dislike the mud flaps I've accepted it is the only way.

Looks as if they will fit. The bracket installs on top of the crash bar support and the crashbar bolts are approximatly (what?) 3/8 inch in excess length.
I'm just concerned about the flap itself being too wide, but we'll see.

Mud flaps suck, but the alternative is chips. Don't think PPF is going to protect your paint. Not for very long anyhow.

They need to be longer. If you noticed the rear flares are still covered in mud. If they were lower to the ground that would not be there.

Nice to see another option out there. I was on the fence from the beginning, but after hearing the many stories about rock chips, I went with the Gatorbacks...and glad I did. I've been off the pavement quite a bit and it's amazing the level of protection the mudflaps provide. (i don't care about the mud and dirt, but those big rocks flying off the tires is no joke) I was just north of Pikes Peak the other day in an OHV area...in the snow, ice and mud...and the flaps did their job very well both off the pavement and on.

No I am with you. Why would anyone put twenty pounds of ugly on your Bronco? There will be much better options coming.

I’m going with paint protective film then Raptor like steps when available for 2dr.

There’s no tire exposed. It’s under fender well.

Pics or threads of where it does not work. Even if it scars pull it off start again.
Raptor style steps/rock rails would work. Nothing for 2dr yet though.

Raptor steps would work. I’m surprised at everyone is giving up. No problem solvers here.

7:37 mark to say ya some time.
Thanks, I hate youtubers and want to skip as much of their crap as possible. Anybody know how much of the video I can watch before it is monetized?

I’d like to keep the crash bars on my Badlands, but I’m also looking forward to getting these installed.

Only speaking in terms of the laws where I live. But more than 50% as in anything above the centreline of the axle must be covered.

Is 50% or more of the Bronco’s tire exposed?

I wonder if my RSE sliders will stop the build up on the rear flares. I didn't look the other day when my wife pulled in after driving through all the snow & slush.

Somewhere here on the forum the guy (sasquatch owner) had rocks go through the PPF (I want to say it was on a fire road or backcountry gravel road of sorts with small gravel) and actually chip the paint. So not only did he need the PPF replaced but also had to deal with rock chips.
