Have you personally tried searching?
Yes. All I get was rock chips and mud flaps.
Great. Thank you. To me it looks like the ppf did it’s job. You can see a chip under the ppf and on the door just after the ppf. Then you see the scaring in the ppf. It’s unclear if it rocks chipped the paint where the ppf was nicked though.

I’m going ppf and Raptor style steps/sliders. Thank you.

I’m just looking for first hand accounts pics of video of chips through ppf and chipping paint. Everyone says there’s proof but no one can show me the thread pics vids as evidence.

If there’s evidence I’d love to see it.
I can understand where you are coming from and I commend people doing their homework before handing over their money. From one BG6 member to the next, if you are planning on taking your Bronco off-pavement and you have the $$$ to spend on PPF don't take the risk on discounting all the discussions and complaints on this topic. This mudflap solution is a fraction of what you will pay for PPF and what I like about it is the quick removal setup it offers (complete 100% removal of the flap with two quick speed caps to remove). For Daily Driving and off-roading adventures keep the flaps on, for rock crawling remove the flaps (slow driving will keep those rocks from being projectile missiles). $150 insurance is better than having PPF that has been damaged. I am not going to prove anything to you because its not my Bronco that is getting damaged, but I know 100% I did come across a person with PPF on their Bronco with rock damage that penetrated through the PPF layers either on the forums, Facebook, or youtube. Please look at the link that @Jandsnagel provided and see the damage to hard plastic that is a result of rocks ejecting out at highway speeds.

I was actually referring to an internet search, not on here. Here you go, took me a couple minutes to find this. No pictures or videos but says it happened. Regardless you do what you want, I'll ppf my front end and mirrors and mudflaps to protect the sides.

I can’t stand the look of the mud flaps. Reminds me of 70’s vehicle with mud flaps and curb feelers. Might as well get a Jeep….

Steps that double as rock sliders will stop 90% of the rocks thrown up. The ppf will stop basic twigs foliage that pin strip off road vehicles.

That’s my plan. To me that’s pretty good protection and it will look great in my eyes. All for about $1500.

Any pics of his ppf?

I’m PPF my entire sides front to back. Everything on the side will be covered. Then adding steps once they have them for the 2dr.

Well, then it looks like you are aware, the PPF and the wider steps will all help. Maybe slight blemishes in your PPF are not a big concern, especially with the steps protruding out and blocking most of those projectiles. Maybe you don't have the horrible GY MT tires that are poorly designed that doesn't reduce the rock throwback. I hate the mud flips as well, but the overspray is just unreal. Primarily I believe with rock sliders/steps that are wider than the stock one for an FE and a different tire tread this issue is greatly reduced and mud flaps are not as important although mud-slinging onto the rear fender flairs is an issue to me so when mudding with back passengers take off those rear fenders so mud isn't piling up.

You can also supply this community with evidence. What proof do you have that PPF will protect against big rock flings? If you have none, then your argument is mute., and not germain to this discussion.

I have the Territory tires in 33. If I can spray it off I’m not too worried.

Now it’s big rocks. Interesting.

Im just astonished with the notion that ugly mud flaps is the only solution.

My evidence? It’s the $1 million dollar vehicles that get full ppf the minute they are purchased. If it did not protect against normal road fling/rocks no one would buy it. If $10k protects them from a $40-50k paint job it must be pretty good stuff.

Waiting for it’s PPF at the dealer I chose.

These 1 million dollar vehicles probably aren't driving over stone either. I hope you way works, my way works, and everyone's way works. But enough about this ppf mudflaps thing, are you ok? Just seems like you have major trust issues.

Looks good, price is so high though! Are they flexible enough to take on the rocks?
I got mine "at cost" so it was an easier decision for me.

They are well made and very sturdy. Keep in mind, they are a 2-piece mud flap...you simply slide out the bottom part before any serious off-roading on the rocks.

Trust issues?

Everyone was saying it did not work. I was trying to find where they got their info. That’s it. The one thread here was way overblown other people commented on it.

Thinking that PPF was a new solution and was seeking reports of how it worked. That’s it.

I showed you a thread and it didn't have pictures, another poster said he seen it somewhere. You just toss those out as garbage. I'm sure there are ppf threads here to get information on that. This is way off topic of the post just showing there's another option coming. So I'm just checking on you making sure you're good. It's just a mudflap topic no big deal. Ppf everything including the tires if you want, you don't have to put mudflaps on your Bronco. Here's a post from another thread that said there may be a little damage but ppf helped.
