I was on a soft sand/dirt road this evening and a rut appeared so i braked fairly hard. The vehicle rotated to the right. the steering wheel didn't feel like it was pulling.

I tried it a few more times at different areas, going uphill, etc. I noticed this a little bit on pavement but didn't think much of it.

I'm thinking one of my brakes on the left side isn't braking? I cna't think of what else it could be. no noises when braking.

2023 2dr w/t, 2k miles.

I won't be able to take it to a dealer for 2-3 weeks so this may remain a mystery unless someone is aware of a known issue.

Iā€™ve done nothing except complain and criticize so far, but thatā€™s a good idea. Iā€™m going to schedule shop time since itā€™s still under warranty. If I bleed the brakes and it turns out to be a faulty line I donā€™t want them to be asking why I was bleeding them on a brand new car.

Good morning! Could you privately message us with your VIN and the name and location of your Ford dealer so I can look into this brake concern for you? Thank you!

Dealer said they canā€™t reproduce the issue and wonā€™t bleed the brake. Theyā€™ve asked me to come pick it or drive with a tech.

Iā€™ve asked them to check on the case number that our local FMC social rep assigned to me.

How fast and what do you mean by rotated on pavement?

Any speed really, but itā€™s noticble the longer it takes to slow down.

And it rotates to the right like itā€™s turning but thereā€™s no pull in the steering wheel. The rest end is simply coming around.

Imagine braking with no left rear brake.

You could use a temperature gun.
If you get it to act up, go around and check temperature of the rotors

Also if it started after off-road possibly underneath something may have come loose/bent or broke. But dealer SHOULD have found that.

Itā€™s been like this from 0 miles. I noticed it while driving around on concrete but assumed it was road crowning.

In that case you should not be driving it until issue is resolved.

You would think the dealer would take a reported braking failure more seriously to avoid the legal ramifications but here we are.

Iā€™m taking a tech for a drive this afternoon to try and reproduce the issue for them.

I would assume that it is a brake issue, but Iā€™ve also experienced a good bit of rotation due to what I suppose is the pan-hard bar in the rear. This only occurred when I had hop-skip-jumped over a patch of potholes.
