What springs would you get on the Rides? The normal Springs or stiffer ones? I’m trying to decide, I don’t have much besides steel belly pan skids, sliders and that’s about it.I almost pulled the trigger on a set today, and I still might, but I'm hesitant to spend $4700 on something with zero feedback. On the other hand Accutune is a legit company and probably would be selling junk. On the other other hand I've been really happy with the Eibach pro truck coilovers and do I really need these.
Ugh decisions.
First world problems.
I was looking at the Rock Krawlers too. Still deciding!I tried contacting them a few times on the phone with no luck. Reached out to them Via DM through here and they eventually replied, though their response was a bit generic and didn’t satisfy my questions. It didn’t instill me with a lot of confidence so I went with Rock Krawler shocks and those should be shipping next week. Less adjustment than RIDE but I’ll report back what they’re like.
They recommended stock weight in front and the upgraded springs in the back since I have the rear mounted winch plus all my gear/recovery crap back there, I'm well over the 300 pound stock weight spring limit. What springs would you get on the Rides? They certainly know what they want for them but I’ve always liked multirate springs. And maybe I’m old school, but being able to easily reach a human and ask questions that are quickly and confidently answered is a big deal for me. All the links in back are RK and I’ve been impressed with their craftsmanship already-hopefully the shocks keep up with expectationsI was looking at the Rock Krawlers too. Still deciding!
Do not know how long you have been trying to contact them. I think they are a fairly small company and I am guessing they have been out at the PNW overlanders event.... When I wanted to talk with them back in November and December... They responded reasonable quick through email and always answered the phone... But I do not know the situation this time.... I do know they really know their shocks and weighting values, they very clearly had done their homework on the Bronco before I spoke with them. I believe they have been a tuner for both Fox and King for a considerable time. I think they really know their shocks and the vehicles they go on... I was very impressed. Listening to their you tube videos, I think they have taken everything they know and put it into these shocks... I could be wrong...They certainly know what they want for them but I’ve always liked multirate springs. This was after the RIDE line was first released, so they were probably busy with all that. No doubt they have a good reputation on their tuning of Fox and KingDo not know how long you have been trying to contact them. Well I too would be frustrated if I could not get ahold of them.... I was trying to make excuses and when I hear you do it I realize that just ain't right. This was after the RIDE line was first released, so they were probably busy with all that. The tone of my post is probably coming off wrong. I wouldn’t say frustrated as much as not feeling super confident should any problems arise. And again, could’ve just been bad timing with the RIDE line just being released. But between that and a brand new product I just decided to try something else. Liked the RK shocks in person so went that route. The 74Weld Fox package was $8000! Quinn had good things to say about RK but couldn’t provide feedback on their shocks. He did feel like the 30% rebound increase would be beneficial for the portals.Well I too would be frustrated if I could not get ahold of them....
Don't forgot to post unboxing photos and install! Keeps us on the edge until you do a review!Thank you. Your order has been received.
Guess I'll be the guinea pig.
I'll let you guys know what I think of them after I've got some miles on them.
Sorry about that, like I said in the reply I was out of town for Memorial Day week (4Wheeling in Sand Hollow). If I didn't answer something specific, please let me know. I had also asked questions in the reply and havn't heard back. Happy to keep that conversation going if you would like. Customer service & response time is really important to us, so I don't expect this this reason to be an excuse.I tried contacting them a few times on the phone with no luck.
