They are sold individually but a full bag has 5 to a package. Some Ford hardware is packaged in multiples and sold individually, some bulk and priced per pkg. Then you have parts in single packages and take multiples per job.
Ok. Thanks. Those are some expensive clips then.

From Ford...

I can confirm without a doubt that the pics I posted are the correct ones...the dealer pulled my VIN. As careful as I was I broke 2 clips, and the woefully cheap plastic-welded bracket one of the intact clips mounted to (Ford apparently takes pride in making panels on which something has to break upon disassembly). I was able to get some JB plastic weld epoxy and hopefully I ended up with an even stronger bracket. I had to pull the driver side panel to replace the cheap corrugated windshield washer line, and hopefully with my 2 remaining clip$ I can fix whatever I break when I pull the passenger side to access the wire from the upfitter circuit to power bumper lights.

I agree. I think we are making $1.00/ea so it's not like the cost is at the dealer level. It's a two piece, overly complicated design that probably makes installation at the factory easier. What makes no sense is there are other styles of fasteners on the same panel that would've worked as well as these.

Where did you find a 4pack? Ford quoted me $7.50 / piece. Thanks
I was quoted $7.50 each from Ford, also. I purchased 4 because I saw the 4-pack in this thread. It was expensive ($30 + tax), but I used my Ford points to purchase them. I'd assume they would just break open a 4-pack if you want less.

That 7.50 sounds about right...the dealer was willing to sell individually, but I figured that because I broke two on the driver side panel when I fixed the wiper hose that I'd probably need another two for the passenger side when I need to access the upfitter wire for my bumper lights. I like the upfitter concept but it sucks to have to pull a panel with frail one-off clips for which there no substitutes...I think Ford will be making a lot of money in clips alone in the near future.

I've broken several of these, but yesterday I figured out why...

I was trying to pry the whole clip out like the orange ones. But, these are designed to pop apart (half left in metal, half left in trim). They snap back together like a Levi's button. Removal & install was simple when I figured that out.

In fact I think I threw a good one away last time, thinking I had broken them when they snapped apart.

The bummer is that although the two halves do separate, you have to get behind the panel and put a pry tool in between the pieces to make them release. If you can pry the top of the panel back enough to see the clip, then you can use some kind of a plastic pry tool to just push the tab(s).

New to panel manipulation but trying to learn.. I installed the IAG soft top assist yesterday and noticed in the process that one of my panel clips is disconnected (not sure if it came that way or if I accidentally popped it off when installing the IAG product).

The clip in question is on the driver side, it looks to be a "button" type. I've got a four door but it corresponds to the red circled clip in the diagram below posted by @flip.

It's hard to see thanks to the angle exactly what is going on without pulling the whole panel off (and doubtless breaking additional clips along the way). Is there a best practice / technique to reseat this particular clip? I was hoping I could apply pressure and it would pop back in, but having a hard time getting that to work. Thank you in advance for any help.

That is definitely one of the two part clips @flip linked above. Its hard to tell from your video, but it looks like they two parts may be connected as they should be, but the side connected to the panel slipped out of its slot. Can you tell if the panel has its half connected or not?

Thank you. It's really hard to tell without pulling more of the panel off but I believe the two part clip is still together and seated in the exterior wall and that the plastic panel is bare. If that's the case, should it be able to be reseated with enough pressure on the plastic panel directly in toward the clip? Or is there some other motion (e.g. sliding in from above to seat into a slot) required to reconnect?

I will get out there and look again now that I have a little bit better of an idea from this thread what it looks like on the interior.
