Four days in! I'm have a Black Diamond with squatch + Mid package and the "capable" bumper, which I'd like to keep. I'm interested in replacing the factory fog lights with 16,000 lumens (or more, total) of modular LED light pods (flood). I've only found one place that sells them for this bumper, and they are "spot" and really pricey ($500). I also want to use the existing fog light switch to operate them, rather than connecting to one of my AUX switches.

I'm wondering if there are any after-market lights with brackets that are designed to slot right in? Ideally, prewired to use the existing pigtail connectors?

thank you!

Holy smokes, 16,000 lumens. Must be trying to make daylight out of darkness.

So if you want 16,000 lumens you’re looking at fairly pricey lights. There are two kits I’m aware of…
  • Heretic - Their kit comes with 3000 lumen pods. BUT they’re a relatively small company so I bet if you called and asked for more powerful lights they may have something for you.
  • 4x4TruckLEDs - Their kit comes with lights of your choosing. The brightest lights they have are the SS3 Max at 7900 lumens per pod… and they are extremely pricey. But their kit comes with enough room for 4 pods, so you could definitely get cheaper pods and use the combined power of all 4 to reach the 16,000 lumens you want.

Personally I would re-consider the 16,000 lumen requirement, because… that’s a lot of light for small fog lights. Maybe do a smaller 20” bumper-mounted light bar or something instead.

But anyway, Heretic is a Bronco Nation partner, so if you have a Bronco Nation membership you can get a discount on Heretic gear. And 4x4TruckLEDs is a Bronco6G sponsor, and I’m sure they have a discount code floating around here somewhere.

Thank you Bryan! yes, I'm a herpetologist... i need to see tiny snakes crossing roads at night.. as odd as that sounds!

I will reach out to Heretic... sounds like they have amazing support too.

@Holycow
I picked the solution from M&R for my Standard Bumper and it puts out TONS of light (15000) and was super easy to install. I really like how it tucks in between the grill and bumper. They have a similar solution for the Capable Bumper as well as Fog light replacements.

You can go with our KR Off-Road brackets w/Diode Dynamics Lights:

$649 but with coupon code FOGS they are $616.55

Yes they are upwards of $600 but you can't find a better quality system. Our brackets are made here on Long Island, NY out of stainless steel and we pair them with the USA Assembled Diode Dynamics lights. REALLY high quality.

Plus 1 pair of lights operates from your fog switch and the 2nd from an upfitter. You can upgrade the Sports to the MAX to get the most light. But nobody makes a brighter fog kit then we do right now with the SS3 Max (costs more $$ though). And nobody makes a higher quality fog kit then we do (again, made here on Long Island, NY from stainless steel and powder coated black with a lifetime warranty)

If that is not your cup of tea, how bout just going with one of the Diode Dynamics elite series fog kits. Direct replacement and gives you a bit more light:

I would look out at F150 leds, I have a 10% discount code as well “YOSHI10.” I have some of their products and absolutely love them!

That company doesn't make a fog kit for the capable bumper... the OP has a capable bumper

I bought these as they are plug and play and fit right into our existing brackets.

I am also looking at the the led bar to mount to the top of the bumper too.

Absolutely this!!!!

I'll be ordering with you once (if) mine comes in. Yes it's on the higher end but you get what you pay for and it's configurable to whatever you want or can afford. They offer plug and play adapters especially for the Bronco and have been supporters on the forum even when it's not their product, couldn't ask for more than that!
