So we finally took possession of our new to us 2022 Wildtrak Hoss 3.0 in eruption green last week and my wife went to work installing all the functional and cosmetic items we've bought while searching for the vehicle.

Yesterday she put on the cheaper Lumen8 fog lights and three smoked amber grille lights and they turned out nice.

However this morning I remote started the Bronco and noticed that the drivers side fog lights appear super bright and white while the passenger side almost seem more dim and less pure white, maybe a little darker white?

Is this a quality control issue or something relatively normal we have to live with?

I'll post a Pic I just snapped though it may not be as easy to tell in the Pic vs standing in front of it.

Make sure you have a solid grounding point, no paint or dirt between the connections.

Probably a quality issue. There is a reason kits like that are so cheap. They are also not fog lights FYI, as those are not street legal to use. So just a heads up. Never heard of the brand but a quick google search shows the kit around $120? You won't get quality for that.

I know our kits may not be the cheapest, with our least expensive kit being $529. But the kits we put together are SOLID. USA made/stainless steel brackets + USA made lights. Not to mention our vehicle specific wiring harnesses. A little bit more gets you a LOT higher quality. This is why we won't sell those cheap overseas made lights. We could sell a lot of them but we'd also deal with tons of headaches, such as the issue you are having.

It just a cheap overseas kit it looks like with no quality control put behind it.

I have overseas vendors I work with (our CrystaLux LED bulbs are from overseas) and our vendors are constantly showing us these NEW kits they have. But nothings great quality at all and we won't sell them in our store and do that to customers.

Sorry your comment about being legal to use.. did you mean the lights we put in or different lights we could put in?

Those lights you have... they are not actually "fog lights" but are off-road lights.

A lot of these overseas companies just throw a bunch of LEDs in the opening and call them "fog lights" but a real fog light is actually rated for use on public roads, meeting SAE/DOT specs.

Diode Dynamics has off-road lights, but they also have lights that meet the SAE regulations.

Baja Designs has the same thing. Off-road and SAE (fog) lights.

So a real "fog light" will carry this SAE rating, which will also be printed on the lens.

These overseas cheap lights are just that... a bunch of lights shoved into the opening. It's confusing to consumers who THINK they are getting fog lights they can use on the road but you actually CANNOT drive on public roads with those on. They don't meet the proper specs for a fog light. It's an off-road light only.

from the pick it does look a little brighter...btw, fair advice but I've never been pulled over or gig'd on an inspection for not having SAE printed on my non-fog fog lights...and 400 more is not a little bit though I do appreciate you have to pay for quality...

Stay away from Lumen8. I notice the seal was faulty around day 67. Contacted the seller a day or two later and it was a to bad so response. Less than 5 months later this is what is looks like. Only 3 lights work.

No after market mod parts are "street legal" only aftermarket direct replacement parts are legal though quality is generally unknown unless from legacy brand, typically.
