Oh yeah! And if you’re turning when you jam the brakes get ready for some excitement!
Add some rain into that mix too! Pucker up

I miss not having a rear sway bar. Wether my tires are actually sliding or not doesnt matter cuz they certainly feel as though they are. Mostly just high speed turns on highway as stated above. Crosswinds over 25 mph too. I may add one down the line. Not sure yet.

Not that I am chomping at the bit to install one - but, being an early MY21 build - what are the options if the factory mounting locations aren't there?

Exactly how doe a sway bar affect straight line braking? Yes it affects cornering and cornering while braking but not straight line braking. And yes to the op it does affect suspension travel but not deal breaker either.

In theory, it shouldn't (i.e. with frictionless rotating bushings)... but in the real world, delrin/plastic sway bar bushings get worn and noisy so the OEMs tend towards using a rubber bushing bonded to the sway bar. That bushing gets twisted when going into either jounce or rebound (obviously in opposite directions), and that twisting of rubber restricts/slows travel a little bit in both jounce and rebound. The reduced speed of the rebound travel is perceived as less brake dive, best I can tell.

Helps keep the ass end from coming up, unloading it, and subsequently loading the front end pushing it down.

I've got a 22 wildtrak with a rear sway bar and I'm curious how it would drive with an even bigger rear sway bar. I'm going for more of a baja use case and could easily detach if the situation warranted it anyway so why settle for the half-measure?

I'm not even sure that such a thing exists but I'm curious if anyone has done/contemplated this.

Belltech is offering some big Bronco lifts that maintain proper component geometry and standalone sway bars as well:

A bigger/stiffer rear sway bar will add oversteer making it tail happy.

I added the factory setup to my OB four door. Takes some of the jittery feeling out of the rear handling. Felt unplanted at times in the rear and this being an on-road vehicle for me the overall handling improvement makes it well worth the few hundred bucks and 30 mins of garage time.

Here's a great video on this subject
For those that cannot watch the video, a rear swaybar in his situations increased the total off road articulation and improved offroad capability, while also being more stable. Important to note that he coupled a rear sway bar with a front disconnect. He speaks on how going to a STIFFER than OEM sway bar increased his total articulation. This is because it matches the front and rear roll stiffness closer to one another which allows for more front articulation.
