Rear pillar interior trim thingy missing

Left side of cargo area has this foam piece that looks like it supports the trim around the pillar just in front of the clamshell. Right side is missing.

Not sure if factory left it out or if the guy who messed with the cargo area side panels while installing the OEM tow kit did it. Anyone else missing one?

I’m not sure how important it is. Maybe it’s trim rattle prevention, in particular for top-off turbulence.

Interesting, looks like trim rattle prevention. Might have to stick a piece of foam in there on mine to see if it helps when I'm blasting music

Made me look. But I have foam on both sides.
