Holy necro post

Fighting a leak that started this fall, 2022 Badlands. Had been fine since new, but then it started from above the visor, coming from where the trim pieces fit together. Not when sitting, not even in heavy rain, but when driving. Usually after driving 5-10 miles. Tried applying the sealant to the entire front edge of the seal, but it came back. Saw your picture and was more aggressive with pulling the trim down so I could see in there. Sure enough, missing a nut. I had been thinking they were captive nuts so figured I was going to have to pull the seal out completely this spring and seal around them all. Hopefully this is the fix I was looking for. Thx!
Haha…glad this helped! Not sure if you saw my follow-up post but this fix worked immediately for me. I haven’t had a leak since and all I did was add the missing nuts on the bolts. Ford never responded or commented on my post, but like I mentioned, I think this impacted a lot of Broncos so wish they would share with dealers. It would save a lot of time and effort replacing seals and adding sealant the isn’t actually the issue.

Yeah, I'm hoping this is my fix too. Like most things, it's always a simple solution, it's just a matter of how hard it is to find.
