Took it to the dealer today. They were mystified that I showed up without an appointment. Acted like I was cutting gin line to simply get someone to open a warranty job.

I finally got a nice young lady to simply document the issue with her iPad camera.
I told he to just to call me when the part arrives and I'll install it.

It just shows how much effort Ford QC makes at even taking a cursory glance around the Bronco before saying is it okay to ship.

Here the Ford factory QC checklist:
1) Does it have four wheels?
2) Does it roll?
3) Okay to ship!

Since Ford does not want to do their job, thank you to @Cat for doing it for them.
DELIVERY CHECKLIST (OCD Version) for Expectant Bronco Owners
ATTENTION, based on my experience, the dealers don't give two $#!ts about this list.. It's on you and for some reason I got caught up in the bliss of the moment and missed this one.
I would suggest taking a friend who is not as excited as you to help keep the inspection real.....

My whole Bronco is missing 😒

Seriously though how has Ford QC been this bad.

A missing kick panel wouldn't be surprising, but an airbag cover?

Remember back in the 1980s when Ford had the slogan, "Quality is Job 1".

Even back then we corrupted it to, "At Ford, Quality is 1 Man's Job". I guess he was off that day. 🤣🤣

Shows up with a 10 person team and parts manual for inspection!

It is a little scary to think what big things they missed that you can't see when crap like that is being done.

Man, I hope the idiot line worker that installed this and realized it was too short but let it go anyway doesn't represent most of the MAP employees.

So hard to find good help.

Have you seen any videos of the Bronco (or any Ford) assembly line? Watch one then Google a European or Asian assembly line.

We visited the F150 assembly line a few years ago. I thought I was at Walmart.

UPDATE:
FORD SERVICE ordered the parts and what came in was the exact same part as in my photo above. He said he would look into it and get back to me.
So I did some digging tonight and pulled the part off and took a photo of the part number sticker

Ford Bronco Anyone else missing side curtain airbag trim? tempImagef4NmT8

I tried to look that part up on Ford parts and nothing remotely came up.
So I then found the part diagram as follows as part #8
with Ford Part# M2DZ 98613D10AA.
the 4 door part is almost the same M2DZ 78613D10AA
Ford Bronco Anyone else missing side curtain airbag trim? 1650337867977

So my question is WTH part do I have? since it seemingly does not belong to either bronco??
Or does the sticker not have anything to do with the actual part # ? I can't imagine why

Just guessing... it may be a previous iteration/version number. That said, the 2 door has a longer front door than the 4 door. I would think that the airbag length would follow along with the door length. I wish I could say that yours is the most glaringly obvious f'up that I've seen get past Ford QC. It's not. Honestly, Ford's quality control is completely non-existent.

4 months later and this still isn't resolved?!

I'll try to remember to pop mine off tomorrow and see what the sticker says for you.

Thanks, be carful. it comes off easy but going back on is not quite so. you may find it easier to remove the plastic shroud around the roof latch and doing that without breaking anything required me to take the passenger side roof panel off to safely release the little metal clips.

Oh I've had it off a couple time already when I was adding this.

update part 2, I can now confirm that the numbers on the sticker are not the same as the Ford parts online.
Front left speaker cover:
Ford Bronco Anyone else missing side curtain airbag trim? tempImageMFp0DW

Ford OEM Parts:
Part Number: M2DZ18978AD

perhaps the factory and the aftermarket have different codes. ??

Anyone have a magic decoder ring?
