My windows rattle when hitting a bump or railroad tracks. I thought it was due to the triangular trim piece on my passenger side is not made correctly. It is tight on the widow toward the bottom, but it tappers out as it goes up, so there is a large gap between the trim and the window. The drivers side is flat to the window, so I know what it should look like...

Picked my Badlands up on Friday from the dealer - it rattled on the short test drive. I chalked it up to new car stuff but it's definitely there after spending all weekend breaking the car in.

I've had frameless doors before and never had the rattle - will ask my sales guy if other folks have mentioned it.

Mine do when I hit a large bump at speed. Just a thing. Maybe they'll come up with a fix, but nothing I can't live with...

Mine rattle when down a few inches, both sides. My driver’s side triangle edge guard also sticks out more than the passenger side, but both sides rattle going over Michigan potholes.

I need to test this scenario again, but yesterday I crossed a set of two rough railroad tracks (that crossed the road at 45 degrees) and heard some rattling even when the windows were closed!

I immediately hit all the window buttons to be sure, and didn't hear any move, but it is hard to tell when in motion.

I will be taking that path home again today, and will double check that all windows are completely closed before crossing.

This is something that is known and has been discussed multiple times. It's an unwanted side effect of having frameless windows.

Having driven the Bronco for a while now, I highly doubt this will ever cause them to break. Maybe during a collision or jumping the Bronco could flex them enough to break.

Anyone who answers no on the survey is clueless and didn't understand the question or is trolling. Every Bronco will do this.
I have a two-door Big Bend, and my windows seem fine. Framed windows are effectively ‘frameless’ once they are moved down slightly - so this isn’t an aspect of the frameless design.

My passenger front window trim is exactly the same. My dealer is supposedly waiting on parts to fix my front passenger side. This was back in February and I haven't heard back from them yet.

Ya I’ve already been through that. Both the dealer and myself. It’s the same procedure as fixing the window getting caught on the weatherstripping when opening door, causing a horrible shake and rattle. Can make them better but they still suck. It’s a badly designed window system.

The adjust procedure noted above is a good place to start although in my case the rattle has worsened over time but only on the front passenger door. Why, you may ask?

Because I take care in slowly opening the driver door and FULLY letting the window drop before opening. My kids and unknowing passengers rip the door open and tweak the window against the top weatherstrip - which has undoubtedly caused slack within the internal door-to-window relationship. I think everyone would be wise to let people know how to properly open the doors and help the cause a bit.

Mine definitely sound like they are going to shatter over railroad tracks or bigger bumps. I've had multiple frameless coupe doors and they made absolutely no sound difference when cracked between frames vs unframed. The fact 25% of people don't have this problem gives me hope. I thought it was everyone.
