Apologies for what's probably a pretty basic question, but I couldn't find an answer on it. But how wide of wheels can the stock BB tires(255/75r17) go on? Was planning to get some new wheels later this month, then upgrade the tires a little bit down the line(wife wants me to use up the stock tires first but we'll see how long that last) The wheels I'm looking at are 8.5" and 9" in width, I know the stock BB wheel is 7.5". Discount shows both if those wheel sizes will fit a BB model, I'd assume they takes into account the stock tire size, but not sure.

6.5" - 8.5" is the recommended range. I don't think the tire shop would care if you got 9" wheels.
think I'd only run the risk of debeading if I dropped down tire pressure?

Lowrider folks run skinny tires on wide rims all the time…but airing down isn’t a thing for them šŸ¤£ā€¦don’t think it would be a big problem if ya don’t go too low (above 15)…back in the day 33ā€ were BIG and we ran them on 8.5 rims without problems…
