I took delivery of my black diamond four-door cactus gray 2.7 L mid package yesterday. Very impressed with the ride quality on my 500 mile trip back home. Remote start does not work and the quality control seems to be lacking. Does anyone else have this type of issue with the interior cargo area passenger side panel?

Are you trying to remote start in the app? Or fob. If app make sure you have everything setup on the connectivity screen. And double check your permissions on the app. When I first got mine I didn’t have cellular use turned on for the app. 🤦
there is also an actual remote start setting I believe that has to be selected on the touchscreen.

So QC or not QC, That is the question.
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous Ford Customer Service
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles
And bitch about them on Bronco6g

Initial quality didn’t blow me away but it’s held up well over the first 6mo/6k miles. Remains to be seen past that but it’s exceeded my expectations after the first impression.

I picked up my 2.7 badlands two door a week and a half ago and promptly put two thousand miles on it driving home. Few things:

- it is definitely not quiet inside on the highway. Making phone calls while driving using the car Bluetooth is simply not possible, no one can hear you.
- the Android auto and general tech is severely lacking. Android auto stops connections (5g T-Mobile device) and you have to turn the car off and on to get it solidly reconnected.
- the functional items, cruise control, blind spot monitoring, lane assist, are all well designed and worth great
- there were a few areas on the interior that were not thoroughly reviewed, loose screws on the removable top, etc
- there was a small bit of smoking from the engine when I drove it home from the lot, burning plastic smell. Apparently that happens from time to time with new cars according to the dealer, though it has never happened with any of my other new cars. Hasn't happened since though

Overall, wildly impressed with the bronco though. Smooth daily driver and handled a drive from Texas to new England with grace.

Have you tried cleaning it yet? Hopefully it is leftover mold release or something, rather than a defect in the plastic.

I took delivery of my two door BL two weeks ago. The dealer wasn’t really provided time by my eagerness to properly ready the vehicle for delivery. The interior ceiling of my MIC had a slight amount of “ dust”. A rag and some windex solved that crisis in about five minutes. The only two things I have found not to be 100% are the two hex bolts on the passenger side trail guide are not coated properly, and on the very end of the capable bumper on the drivers side, the coating has a one inch section that appears to have either been marred and a repair coating was applied or it was messed up during coating. Neither one of these issues is causing me to have conniptions. The hex bolts I took care of and the bumper Mar I just consider it “ the first oops” due to usage. One has to really scan the bumper to even notice. I have no issue with the interior of my BL. It is lux and the interior is tight and comfortable. Does it rival an Expedition or a Platinum F 150? No, but it was never supposed to. Enjoy the drives folks.

KILLER BRONCO update… The remote start does work I just had to familiarize myself with the procedure. MY BAD. I could not be happier with the styling, features, performance and road manners of the Bronco. I have owned four jeep wranglers and must say I believe FORD got this right!

I had the same burning plastic smell on the drive home from the dealer. There was no smoke though. I figured it was probably due to how new the car was. It disappeared very quickly so I just rolled with it.

I just picked mine up and it smells and smoking. Is this normal and does this go away?
