I live in Florida where in the summer we get dumped on every day. I’ve been in some hard rains and never had an issue.

Has anyone had this issue fixed? If so what was the solution. The dealer replaced the switch in mine but that did not solve the problem. It is going back again on monfay

Nope, my dealer couldn't fix it either.

An earlier post mentioned leaving the arms in the out position overnite. With the intention of lesoning the spring tension . I tried it. haven't had a problem since. And god knows with all the rain we have had in New England ,I have had plenty of chances to see if the problem persists. coincidence , shrug , I dunno , don't care, problem is solved.

Are you saying that made your wipers move faster?

My Bronco was in the shop a month and a half and nothing is fixed. I have tried leaving the wipers up and no luck there, at least not for me.

They're just junk. It worries me when I think about it so I try not to think about it. Wonder if they'll fix it in the next update.

I had my wiper motor replaced less than a month after purchase which didnt resolve the issue, so unfortunately I'm just living with it until there's a recall of sorts some day. Once the continuous goes to intermittent (after 60 seconds for mine), I just switch to a different mode and back. Annoying to do that every minute but I'm not taking it back to the dealership just for no real resolution.

I think the people who said it is the wiper arm spring tension are right. It SEEMS my issue is better after I left my wiper arms up a few times overnight to stretch tme.iut a little. It has been a while since I have experienced the issue. Try that.

Ost.

I drove in light rain for the first time yesterday and had the wipers stop/slow while the windshield was obscured. I had to rotate the wiper switch to force the wipers to go.

Hopefully it's just a fluke, but now I know to be aware of any issues.

Oddly enough, I had been detailing the rig over the previous 2 days and had the wipers up. Also had rain x on it.

Well, it worked for a while but in the rain tonight they stopped moving again when I set them to the Low setting. After a few minutes they decided to go to intermittent again. WTF. I had to toggle the switch again to get it back on the Low setting. What a pain in the ass.

Not sure is there is a thread about this, but I received a recall notice for the wipers today. The recall says it's a programming issue with the wipers.
Yep… got mine today as well. Haven’t had an issue yet but hope this takes care of it for those dealing with it.

I've never noticed any 'intelligence' to my wipers - they're either on or off. I have a Luxe trim - so I'd think I'd have them.
