I have a 2023 big bend with a factor OEM keypad to unlock doors. I have the card and perform the recode as required. At the end of the recode the lights flash and doors lock to indicate the recode works, however, when I type in the new code it does not work.

anybody have this issue?

What procedure are you doing? It’s slightly different for multiple keypads sometimes.

factory code, hold 1/2 button until pad light flashes, new code, hold 1/2 buttton until pad light flashes then vehicle lights flash and locks cycle.

Okay that seems correct. Are you sure you have the correct card/code? Some people mistakenly try to use the SecuriCode card which looks similar but won’t work.

Did you buy the bronco brand new with the keypad? Or was the keypad purchased recently?

Since you have the card, does the master code work? Seems like a dumb question, but people are often confused by the card that is included in the interior fuse compartment below the steering column. That card is not associated with the keypad.

I recently bought the vehicle used. I have an 2024 F150 so I knew you needed the master code for it to work so I asked for it before I left the dealership (they actually provided a new card). The master code works correctly on the keypad and unlocks.

That’s very odd. I can’t think of any reason it shouldn’t work then.

I asked for it before I left the dealership (they actually provided a new card).
I don’t really understand this though. They wouldn’t be able to get a new card without completely replacing the keypad. Unless they simply found the original card and it wasn’t actually new? I’m not sure. I would just bring it back to the dealer you got it from and show them that it will not work.

Had the same problem on my 2023. Dealer could not get it to work with code on card. A week later they finally got it fixed. They had to contact Ford. Had to sign some kind of release. Had different master code when I got it back.

Easiest thing of course would to just use the master code
