Hey everybody. Just got done swapping OEM Halogen for OEM Led. Made necessary changes in forscan for proper operation. No Amber turns just red for stop, turn and parking lights. I believe I found the solution for the pulsing/flickering problem. I cross referenced as built data from my big bend with halogen and an outer banks with led tails. This is the line I changed and it solved the problem. Forscan as built bcm sector 726-38-02 from 0068 to 0169. I’m taking no responsibility for this change just telling you what I did. It worked. So far lol

Anyone else who swapped OEM halogens for OEM LEDs try this? Would like to hear some other success stories before I give it a try.

I figured it’s worth a try for this one line. If it didn’t work I could always change it back.

I did the swap last weekend and just noticed the flicker today for the first time. Still have some time on my Forscan trial so I'm gonna give this a try today. Will report back soon.

So that sector of the bcm controls the voltage regulation module for the stop/turn/position so I believe that is the solution to the flickering problem. Mine has been fine since I changed it.

Just did it - can confirm that this worked for me. 2024 Black Diamond. No more flickering. Everything - blinkers, reverse, park and brake lights - appear to work as normal (with the caveat that there is no amber turn signal). No DTCs on Forscan after making the change.

THANK YOU Hawk7131!

You are welcome!! Awesome news. I spent like 3 days searching and searching for what the solution could be. I couldn’t stand the flickering 😠

Made this update this morning. Works as described. Thank you Hawk7131! I knew someone would figure out how to stop the flickering. It has been driving me crazy since I swapped my OEM halogens for OEM LEDs on my 2023 Black Diamond.

Confirmed that blinkers, reverse lights, parking and brake lights all work as normal. As expected this does not enable the amber turn signal.

Here are before and after videos.

Confirmed! In the BCM sector 726-38-02, change the "0068" to "00169". The flicker is gone for my OEM Halogen-To-LED taillight swap.

Thank you for this info @hawk7131! I finally installed the OEM Led taillights on my 2022 Black Diamond and this setting got rid of the flicker. Just to confirm, the other Forscan change was to disable the Rear Turn Bulb Outage, correct? (Image below)

I plan to update the thread I started with this new information
