same issue with my '22 2.3 auto - every so often it feels like its someone bumping into me at an intersection. just a slight thud that can be felt through the car.

agreed with the previous statement about it feels like slop in the drivetrain. I noticed it seems like it happens on medium to firmer stops, like everything gets bound up, then clunk when you accelerate.

I had a thread on this. It’s not the trans it’s the rear drive shaft. The dealer replaced mine and it solved the issue. Schedule an appointment take a service tech for a ride to replicate the issue so they can’t say they couldn’t and get it replaced

Good to know my 2023, wild track 2.7 with 10 speed tranny is doing this as well. It now has about 6000 miles on it and feeling it pretty consistently at start and stops.

Hello there! Are you still experiencing this concern? If so, I would like to look into it on my end. Please send over a private message with your VIN and the name/location of your local Ford dealer.

I have experienced the same symptoms as everyone is describing here. Not all the time but enough to notice. I assumed it was the driveshaft, but maybe not.

My 23 BL 2.7auto just started having this issue. Also the ASS function has stopped too. Just like everyone stated feels like slop somewhere, just gives you a lil stutter/bump like a gear is taking up slop before it makes contact. Someone say it was a drive shaft issue?

Did the fix last? I have a auto start/stop eliminator, do you think they will give me an issue about that?

I am experiencing the same issue with my 2025 Bronco Raptor with roughly 3K on it... When I come to a complete stop and again when I release the brake -- the truck gives a noticeable bump, stump or jolt. It feels almost as if a bowling ball in the back seat rolls forward just as the vehicle finishes stopping or starts moving again.

Another way to describe it is that it almost feels like auto start‑stop is kicking in, even though it’s turned off. This seems to be a long‑running problem. Other than the temporary relief from lubricating the slip yoke, is there any permanent fix?
