Being apart of the Subaru community, then Miata ownership, then GTI/R ownership, I’m used to waves. Jeep people wave at each all the time. I expect the Bronco to join that.

Me personally, I’ll wave at anybody with a cool car. Some people just have bad days.

I could understand the attention being a little overwhelming for someone not used to it.

We had plenty of interest last summer with our Bronco Sport, something my S/O had never really dealt with. She definitely was on edge for a while because EVERYBODY wanted to stop and chat. Thankfully there’s a BS on every corner and they’ve stopped following her around.

So, really your post is that the random person at the light didn't acknowledge your being an enthusiast?

Are there some sort of purchase by laws that you feel should be written? Maybe an agreement to be an "enthusiast" as defined by______"

I bought mine off the lot at MSRP, no preorder, it will spend 90% of it's life on the pavement. It will be in the dunes in the summers. Winter, it is a solid 4x4 that allows me to get out in a blizzard when I am on trauma call and the only vehicle out and about.

I'm not a Bronco enthusiast I just like "cars" . Is there a drop box I should leave my keys in?

;)

Before I got my 2022 bronco, I'd drive my girls wrangler and wave at other wrangler drivers, 9.5 out of 10 would just stare straight ahead, no acknowledgement. If I ever see another bronco around, I'm definitely showing my appreciation. It's a community.

A thumbs up is a nice gesture that should make the recipient feel good and doesn’t require a response.

Saw an Eruption Green Bronco, so I caught up at a stop light. Rolled down my window, yelled "Nice!" Woman, 40s? Mouthed to me, "Pssh whatever" Drove away.
Worst pick-up line ever.

Did the same to a guy with a 90s Bronco modded at the gas station and he laughed hysterically with his buddies and rambled on about being in the "Old Guard" and that he knows all about broncos. Never once asked about mine or cared. Guess not all broncos are made equal 🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Not being a creeper, there aren't many of these. WTF is that? I'm just stoked when I see another one. Assumed mall crawler over MSRP.
How does that make her a “non enthusiast”? What is a non enthusiast? If you spent 50k and made it through this process you are an enthusiast by definition. It does matter if you wave, chat or other wise engage with other bronco owners or not.

I meant more not being enthusiastic about having a Bronco vs. being a hard core Bronco fan. Poor wording.

Either way, it's been established that I'm a dumbass. I definitely will not roll down my window going forward. A simple wave will suffice. I just get very excited to finally see others. Some people don't want to be bothered.

I’ve been completely ignored by two first editions I waved at while driving my plain old OBX… but a guy in an early Bronco had a ton of questions and compliments at a gas station. I get questions pretty much every time I stop, too. It’s all good.

Most importantly though… My kids freaking love it and I can’t stop smiling while driving it!
