It's the latest fad vehicle and you're gonna find people like that.
My interest was in a 28k base manual 2-door Bronco. Figured with adding 33"s, it could have been a fun new off-road vehicle for top-down adventures.

But the situation has attracted a big spending crowd. I still like the Bronco vehicle, but the overall scene around it, has become kind of a turn-off.

Only local owner I know, is some rich guy with two Broncos, who doesn't even off-road. I wouldn't care much, except with a limited supply, those kind of customers will have a leg up.

I don’t think that the desire to interact with other people with the same vehicle or to be part of a car community makes someone an enthusiast. They can love the car, want to be left alone, and be an enthusiast.

Saw an Eruption Green Bronco, so I caught up at a stop light. Rolled down my window, yelled "Nice!" Woman, 40s? Mouthed to me, "Pssh whatever" Drove away.

Not being a creeper, there aren't many of these. WTF is that? I'm just stoked when I see another one. Assumed mall crawler over MSRP.

And how did you expect her to know you were talking about the Bronco?

So... yeah, pulling up to a woman, making eye contact and yelling 'nice', that is totally on her not understanding...

As an aside; when someone feels the need to explain that they are not a creeper, when nobody asked, well... okay, good luck with that.

I find it dubious that a non-enthusiast would ride out this accursed ordering process. You have to figure these are people that impulse bought an abandoned order.

Always wanted a first generation Bronco. They are either an outrageously over priced restored version or an outrageously over priced basket case. My new Bronco will spend the majority of its life being pampered while cruising paved roads. I treat my vehicles like they are living, breathing animals. My Mustang GT can do high 12’s out of the factory. It will never see a race track. It can burn the tires right down to the rims. I don’t do burn outs. That being said, I know I am an enthusiast in my personal form. Enjoy the rides folks.

This right here is spot-on. I don’t have my nose in the air, I just need to be left alone. Not a fan of people or crowds or small talk. “It’s not you, it’s me” or whatever the hell you want to think but a more solitary type of soul.

Let that Bronco animal out of it's cage.

Had it happen also .... I was a passenger riding in the jump seat to a Subaru Brat, when we pulled up along side of this gorgeous retro themed Baja Bronco, of course I throw up the You Rock hand gesture, and almost immediately get hit by a half full can of Billy Beer.

I kinda feel the same way about all these new Bronco owners who have no intention of wheeling them. "Pssh whatever" LOL

After reading the comments, I guess she could have thought I was a wackjob. I Get it.

I had no idea it was a woman driving when I pulled up. It could have been a racoon and I would have done the same.

All others I've passed, the driver seemed as excited to see me.

I'll leave people alone.

Seen a few broncos, some ill assume arent paying attention to my waves, im guilty of that myself, and then the older women who probably got lucky with a cancelled order who don’t understand what all the “fuss” is “about”

Everybody has an 'off day' every now and then. She will be the next person snubbed when she enthusiastically waves at the next Bronco she sees. Everybody gets their 'due'. Lots of Bikers never wave back - and THAT's a real thing for all bikes. Keep smiling and "Keep the rubber side down".
