My new 2025 with just over 1000 miles after sitting in the heat for a couple days would not spray washer fluid. No leaks under it, fluid is full, hoses are good no kinks when I traced them out. I opened the lid and wiggled the hoses bit and tried again. Now it works. I could hear the pump running at first before I opened the hood and it seemed loud and possibly dry running. I think I saw someplace that the washer fluid container might be sealed too well with the lid on it and now allowing fluid to pump because of vacuum. Some said to leave the cap loose or drill a small hole in the lid. I drilled a small hole and no more issues with it. The back side of the cap is a foam piece that seals really well, probably too well. Having a little vent fixed it so far.

Because it fixed it. If you take it to the dealer, they will probably change out the pump or hoses and replace new with new. I have never had a Ford that had a foam back lid on the washer fluid before that sealed so tight. It would be the same as taking a water bottle, filling it, drilling a hole in the bottom while the cap was on and no water would come out until you opened the lid. Hey, it worked.

I don’t blame you, who wants to have their truck sit at the Ford dealership for a week to fix something that simple. Hell mine is under warranty and I replaced the front differential myself because I don’t have time to wait a month or more and argue that I didn’t abuse it. I needed the vehicle for vacation the next week. You gotta do what you gotta do sometimes.

Last week when it was super hot and my ‘25 Bronco had been sitting for 2 days, I had to run the washer pump a good 5 seconds before spray came out. Not sure if it was evap related due to heat or if the windshield replacement guys disconnected my spray hoses and they back flowed and got an air gap. Don’t think I had used the sprayers since the repair. It’s been fine ever since and I didn’t change anything.

If I haven’t used it in a while I need to hit the wiper fluid about 5 times before anything comes out. Also checked for leaks the first time it happened. They need a lower spray setting for when the top is off. On 1 it still sprays the back seats when parked.

There is at least one older thread here documenting this, maybe more. So I’d agree it’s not widespread, it isn’t unheard of and drilling the hole is probably the best solution to the issue.

Good on OP I say - it’s their Bronco and they fixed an engineering issue in a manner that doesn’t negatively affect anything else or cost significant money or time.

I'm guessing that there is foam in the washer fluid cap because Broncos are an off-road specific vehicle and you wouldn't want washer fluid splashing out when bouncing around. You gotta get some extras compared to other Fords for the price of these vehicles. 😁

We had the fuse 16 issue that has been documented on this forum. 23 Wildtrak 20k on it when I bought it in February 25. Washer wouldn't work still under warranty but like some have said....not waiting a week for a problem i can fix myself in 30min.
Whatever works for you.

Actually, it is a wide spread problem. And it has been well documented. I did something similar to mine. I drilled a very small hole on the firewall side of the washer bottle neck just beneath the lip. I was concerned about dirt entering through the lid if I drilled there. Now my washer fluid disperses as soon as I hit the button every single time. Vacuum is indeed an issue with the washer bottle. 6 months later, no more issues with my washers. Both of my broncos had this issue.
