Once I press the break and start button everything kicks on.
I don’t care that the seats don’t turn on since they warm up fast but I’d like the ice on the windshield melted and the air in the cabin warm.
What am I doing wrong or what’s potentially broken?

Mine is the same. I autostart w/app and fob. When I get in clearly there is some heat, but the fans, seat heat, controls (defrost/dash front/floor) are not as I left them. Hit the start button and fans/seats come on, but need to reset controls. Temp stays where it was. Never had a vehicle that didn't autostart with controls where you left them.
Just thought it was a Ford F@#k Up...

I was just thinking about this yesterday. Mine is the same. Nothing really kicks on until I put my foot on the brake and press start. I just figured I had something wrong in my settings.

I let it run longer this morning, it’s heating and coming from the windshield defrost vent.
Once I press the start it switch’s to the dash vents as it was preset to do.
Not working as expected but I do get thawing action if I let it idle long enough so that’s a plus.

Just going to ask since no one else did and you said it’s your first winter with it.

Did you check the settings to ensure you have it in auto mode? It’s in the remote start settings.

Original post says it’s set up for the last setting. Which means however the HVAC was set when turned off, is what it should be when remote started.

I hope the issue is ignorance on my part, I have started using remote start this winter. First winter with the Bronco.
the heat does not turn on. I get into a cold vehicle each time.
I have the settings in climate to use last setting. The heat is turned on for the vents and seats before I turn it off the day before.

I use the fob to remote start, give it 5 minutes and get in. The engine temp has 1-2 bars so the engine is warm. But no fans are blowing nor the seats warm.
Once I press the break and start button everything kicks on.

Make sure you have the remote start setting set to auto during the cold months. Turn seats and steering wheel (if you have them) to on.

Have to set it in settinggs of the snc panel Auto: will run the heat when it is cold out and run the AC when it is warm out. The Last Settinggs mode: will use what ever the climate control was set to when ou last turned the truck off.

I find that hard to believe.
Maintenance brings up no results found, along with many other easy keywords that one would use to search with. No info on when to service anything. It’s practically useless. The term auxiliary brings 2 items , a picture of the switch itself and a little description of it. No info on amps or colors per switch. I know some people have provided me the info they got from theirs. Mine and a few others I have seen provide nothing. Some bug or failed programming I suspect.

I believe the latest Sync update nerfed the seat heaters and steering wheel remote start function. I have the same issue with my F150 now…..
