I'd keep the factory. It is reusable and cheap to replace.

The pan is plastic. Using aluminum or metal plug isn't a great idea.

I have the UPR in both of mine, over 34k miles on one, 9k on the other. Only issue I ran into was when I let the dealer change my oil in one and the tech over tightened the valve and tore the internal seal. Took it out and replaced the 2 o rings, all good since. I like it over the ronin as it doesn't require a special tool to drain.

I performed the first oil change at 1,000 miles on my 2023 Raptor and installed a Ronin at the same time. I've changed the oil twice since then, every 5,000 miles, no problems so far.
The first oil change was an experience since the oil came rushing out, quite unexpectedly, and went all over the place after I remover the plastic oil drain plug.
As far as the tiny bit of old oil left behind because of the design of the Ronin plug: Who cares.
I've read many articles on oil change frequency, and I still believe in more frequent oil changes then are recommended in the manual.
After all, the manual was written by the same people who want to sell you a new vehicle every 3 to 5 years.
I keep the drain wheel, along with the original plastic plug in its box in the storage area under the rear floor mat.
Why do I keep the plastic plug and bring it with me?
Well, even since I watched the Space Shuttle Challenger blow up in 1986, my faith in mechanical devices has fallen significantly.

I used this one from Amazon, which have also used on previous vehicles and it works for me.

I read about these on here somewhere buried in the threads. I haven't got one yet but it's coming.

I’ve run these on all my Super Duty diesel trucks. Love them.
However I’m not sure it would work on the Bronco because the oil plug is more recessed? Keep me posted please. This would be my preferred option based on experience with them if it would work on the Bronco. Thanks.

Late add… the 2025 Raptor 3.0, not sure on 2.7.
The OEM plastic plug was changed in 2025 or late build 2025, suggesting plastic oil pan changed. This likely applies for 2026 too.

The UPR didn’t fit the 2025 nicely, to much forced to turn last 1/8 or so turn into lug notch. Very hard turning and depressing to remove.

The Ronin on the 2025 is a much better fit without fear of damaging Pan’s plastic nubs.
