New 2023 window down feature?

Is this update only out for 4 doors and not the two doors?

Last time I checked, yes. My 2022 2 door did not have any DDM/PDM updates available, and doesn’t have this feature. Ford did say they were working on it though, so I’d imagine it’ll happen eventually. I’ll check Monday to see if anything has changed.

My dealer was able to do the door module update on my 2022 2Dr about a month ago and it works great, no more flopping windows.

And yes it is a 2022 2 Door

Good to hear. I think it was early November when I checked and didn’t have any updates so maybe I just missed it and it’s been out for a while now.

My 2023, April build date didn’t have it and I was just in at the dealer for a tow harness install 2 weeks ago but they didn’t do any other updates.

It seems like it should roll down when you touch the handle to unlock because obviously you’re about to pull the handle. Whereas with the fob you may or may not be about to open.

Touch the handle with key: unlock & roll down the 1/2”
Put it in drive: roll up and lock doors
Turn off ignition: roll down 1/2”
Lock doors: roll up

It’s really not that hard.

It would be great if that upper chassis brace fit Non Raptor models. I'm a big fan of a rigid chassis. Seems unlikely since it has a different chassis code but ya gotta have dreams.

Goat Fab has a 3rd party chassis brace for non-Raptor models.

Just got my braptor this week. Built around Thanksgiving and it has this feature. I was like this is the window rattling everyone complains about? Now it makes sense.

Let’s start a petition for an OTA upgrade for this.

Does this only happen when you hit the unlock button? It would be great if you slide your hand under the handle and it would lower the window then wait a second and open the door.

My 23 Wildtrak was built at the end of August 2023 and has this feature...as stated before, this window update was put on all Broncos built mid-July 2023 and after. It will drop the windows when i use the key fob, the keyless entry pad, and when you unlock the doors from the button inside. The only time it doesn't work is when you put your hand on the door handle for keyless entry....which is the #1 time i would want it to work! Haha....Ford, really??

When i have my family in the Bronco, i hit the interior unlock button when we are all about to get out, that they aren't catching the windows on the seals.

Nope, doesn't work when you put your hand on the exterior door handle....its dumb.

Watch the video below at the 4:10 min mark. When did Ford start doing this on 2023 Broncos?

My 2023 Badlands SAS does not have that window feature. I would like to have it because the floppy window syndrome does bother me.

They do. Also available separately as B or C pillar brace.
