Hello! I picked up this HiLift and mount as part of a package deal, but it did not come with any hardware.
It seems to be a fairly generic mount available on Amazon, but I noticed they all seem to have these tapered parts, circled.
I have no idea what these are, and looking through my local Menards, I can't seem to find them. They seem similar to tapered washers, but really not sure.

Anyone have any idea? I may just have to reach out to one of the sellers and ask if they would sell the install kit separately, but thought I would try the braintrust first.

Thanks, as always!

Those will set in the recessed bolt holes on the hinge. The ones provide with my tailgate reinforcement were actually plastic...these look like metal of some sort. If they didn't come with the mount not sure where you would find them. Maybe try McMaster Carr.

FYI...when removing the hinge bolts note that the nut inside the tailgate is not secured...be EXTREMELY careful not to push in the nut or risk it falling into the tailgate.

Make sure you get some sort of tailgate limiter to protect your taillight.

I may actually consider a different solution. Any recommendations?

Install flush headlights. And maybe some mounting system that works with the spare tire carrier, like LOD.

I have JCR swing out storage and tire carrier (bumper mounted), with the Hi lift jack rack. They have a Universal, depends on your bumper though.

After years I ditched the Hi-Lift system anyway, for a stubby bottle, 3T scissor, and sometimes carry the ARB Hydraulic jack.

Hi-lift sells a mount that's similar, but looks like it's easier to install since it's two pieces. You don't have to completely unbolt your tailgate to install. They also include a way to limit tailgate swing, but I don't like it.

Front Runner and a few others make a bracket to carry a Hi-Lift on a roof rack.

It's a do it yourself mod...graba couple pieces metric threaded rod, 2 wing nuts, 4 rubber grommets, 4 fender washers, 2 coupler nut, and a tap 8 or 10mm ( i forget) from yer local hardware store. Some folks have said their Bronco was already tapped with threads in this hole but I had to use a tap in mind to get it threaded. Here's a picture of one of the parts the coupler nut.

I have almost this identical mount. Mine didn't come with those, mine had A/B plates with welded nuts instead, but you can see them in the pictures, barely. They go on like a washer by the head of the nut to give it a more finished look - I think they are actually called Finishing Washers

https://www.homedepot.com/b/Hardware-Fasteners-Washers-Finishing-Washers/N-5yc1vZc2fy

You can use a regular washer if you wanted to, Finishing washers don't have any special properties that I know of other than looking a bit nicer, or letting a countersink-headed bolt fit better (those bolts in the pick are not countersunk style so wouldn't need them).

I’ve seen some aftermarket bumpers with mounts on those but I’ve seen those primarily on jeeps.
