Has anyone used any of the muffler skids, considering adding one to reduce damage . The 3 I was looking at were metalcloak , rock hard 4x4 and the ASFIR. Has anyone used any of them. ASFIR which seems the most expensive seems to hang down the least and I don’t want to decrease my clearance.

I kinda figure the muffler is a skid. Kind of a sacrificial item, and if it gets taken out on the trail, you are still gonna get home.

I think if I were really worried about it, I would get a smaller muffler that tucks up tighter, or maybe consider a delete.

I've also found that my hitch receiver seems to save my muffler and bumper from a lot of hits. Not really intended there, but I guess better the receiver than other things.
