Most Annoying Bronco alert

My Bronco doesn't have that functionality. On the other hand, today I drove with two people in the back seat of my 2-door, and after they exited the vehicle, the dash was warning me of rear occupants without seatbelts fastened. And it did that for several minutes with no one in back. I'll have to play around in Forscan to turn off that alert.

It's in the settings, you can turn it off for 6 months and then it asks you if you would like to activated it again and you can just hit ok on the wheel to say no and have friends or pets bounce around.

It is in the on screen settings Vehicle Settings/Rear Occupant Alert.

My '21 Ranger used to do that all the time with no way to turn it off in the settings. It was one of the first things I found on my Bronco to deactivate.

Thanks, that is an annoying one on our '24 4-door that was not on the '22 2-door. Are so many people forgetting children in the back of their cars that this is absolutely necessary? I have no doubt it happens from time to time, but is it that rampant that we all need to be warned we shut the truck off with anything in the back seat? Maybe these people should just put a "Baby on Board" placard on their dash.

The one other annoying feature is when it tells me that it can't find my cell phone (because I left it home). The warning that I'm about to run out of gas goes away in a few seconds, but I have to actually acknowledge the cell phone thing. Double Duh!

I have to disagree with you on this one: This feature has saved me a couple times from forgetting my cell phone in the morning when I'm in a hurry. Different strokes for different folks I guess.

Overall, I would say the most annoying notifications are the ones you can't disable, especially if they are forced on you because of political BS. Like the obnoxious "check the rear seat for a baby" message that automatically turns itself back on after several months.

No doubt. How often is this happening that we need to warn every driver in the world of a possible life form in the back seat...that may be just groceries or back pack? I've bought a few older used cars and I have yet to find a corpse in the back seat. If people have become so distracted in their lives that they are regularly forgetting their infants in the back seat, a warning on the dash is probably NOT the solution.

I'm a mile down the road when I get the notifcation. Is yours quicker than that, or do you turn around and go back home?

Indeed the most annoying “feature.” I got a steering wheel cover. Works like a charm.

Ford must think we have IQ's of room temperature or less. But maybe they're right: I forked out over 40K for mine.

Interesting. Our 2-door is an early 2022 and I don't recall it having the back seat warning, but I removed my back seats in pretty short order after purchasing it.

Are you talking about the seat belt chime? You can turn that off pretty easily.

The Lane centering feature. Im from a time when they taught driving before you even got behind the wheel, LOL. Was taught to "Aim high in steering". Doing so, you aren't constantly jiggling the steering wheel back and forth, so the lane keeping thinks you are drunk or something. Useless.

This is by far the most annoying alert for me too. It would be nice if it had a delay so you could at least drive a few hundred feet without it going off. All my other cars have that.

Are you talking about the seat belt chime? You can turn that off pretty easily.

Read all steps first. Do not buckle the unused front seat during the process, or it will cancel.Prerequisites

• Parking brake set
• Transmission in Park (P)
• Ignition off
• Both front seatbelts unfastened
• All doors closed (recommended)

Steps

1. Switch the ignition on. Do not start the engine.
2. Wait an additional 5 seconds. Once you begin the next step you must finish the entire sequence within 30 seconds.
3. For the seat you want to change, buckle then unbuckle the seatbelt four times at a moderate speed, ending unbuckled. The seatbelt warning light should come on.
4. While the warning light is on, buckle then unbuckle the seatbelt once more. The warning light will flash to confirm the change.
