Wait, so you're telling me that when the bronco is remote started, the computer isn't smart enough to shut the engine off immediately if it overheats?? What if it loses oil pressure? Shutting the engine off without warning while you are driving would be one thing, but when the vehicle is sitting...
Same problem where I work. There are several gravel quarries and processing plants. The dump trucks lumber in and out all day long. You can see the gravel falling off the back of the truck every time they pull out onto 96th street. They clearly don't care. The city sweeps the roads, but they...
I have to disagree with you on this one: This feature has saved me a couple times from forgetting my cell phone in the morning when I'm in a hurry. Different strokes for different folks I guess.
Overall, I would say the most annoying notifications are the ones you can't disable, especially if...
Honorable mentions:
1) Two speedometers on the dash, and I can't replace the digital one with something more useful.
2) The buttons that control the internal "dome lights" are needlessly overcomplicated and confusing.
3) The usual stuff everyone complains about, mostly water...
The 10-speed automatic transmission. I hate this transmission: It is ALWAYS shifting. There are so many scenarios where this thing ticks me off, but the common one is where the guy in front of me at a roundabout hesitates (for no good reason) forcing me to let off the gas for a split second...
Mine failed catastrophically a couple weeks ago., right around 20,000 miles. I heard/felt a thud sound under the vehicle, then the rumble/grind sound whenever the wheels were turning. I don't know if it would have made it to the dealer under its own power, and I wasn't going to chance it. I had...
I'm assuming I want to compare the tread of the spare against the front tire that gets rotated to the back? The difference in tread depth looks to be a hair less than 2mm. (3/32 = 2.28mm). Sounds like I can probably squeak by with the five tire rotation. I ended up just marking the tread...
I read in another thread about basing it on tread depth. I don't have a tread gauge so going to get one and check. Then I will decide which one to do. I'm just going to do it myself, at least the first time, then I know it's done right.
I read in other post that too much difference in tread can damage the drivetrain. At 12,000 miles should I fall back to a four tire rotation, or am I good to still rotate the spare?
I wonder how mad the jeep owners would get, if you put a few rubber ducks on the dash of your bronco? 🤔
I haven't run into any problems with jeep owners, except for one guy in wrangler who tailgated me for no reason on the state highway. I put the pedal to the floor and my 2.7 destroyed him.
I think the stock bumper on the black diamond is called the "capable bumper". You might google for after market products based on that name. I was able to find a couple of winch mounts that fit this bumper, so most likely there is something out there.
OK, I've thought it over and I'm going to order the ASS eliminator. The message is definitely the lesser of two evils.
It just galls me to have to spend $100 to counteract a feature that the federal government bribed Ford into turning on, using money they stole out of my paycheck.
"including eliminate 1st gear " Is that the annoying shudder you sometimes feel when the truck is coming to a full stop? It would be worth it for that alone.... 😖
